Easy, Rice and Montana. THEY WERE ONLY TOGETHER FOR FIVE COMPLETE YEARS out of six. One year was a strike year and it was there best year together. They did more in a few years by winning championships and setting records than any other duo in the history of the sport. 3 Superbowl's and a ton of records. No one else including Irvin and Aikman, Bradshaw and Swann or Manning and Harrison can say they both set records and won championships in a short amount of years. They were the shiznit.

Manning and Harrison have more records then Montana and Rice but far fewer championships. Plus Montana and Rice only was a duo 6 years like I said earlier. Manning and Harrison have been together for like 9 years or more and just recently won one ring.

People always say the first that comes to mind and say Montana-Rice or Young-Rice because they stand out. But statistically speaking it is Manning-Harrison and they're still going. Sure Rice was exceptional, as were the two throwing him the ball, but Marvin Harrison is exceptional as well, and with Manning on the other end, you can make a very strong case for them being the best duo.

Comparing these duos to one another to find the best one is pretty much impossible. Consider the stats and then consider the history, people seem to always side with history...

As much as I want to say Montana and Rice, I look at what Brady and Moss did last year and there is no denying it. Brady threw 50 Td's that season and Moss had 23 of them, they havent won a SB yet but the stats are amazing

The greatest quarterback of all time was Joe Montana, and he was among the all-time greatest before he got the greatest receiver. The greatest receiver of all time was Jerry Rice, and the stats he racked up after he no longer had the greatest quarterback -- even the stats he racked up after Steve Young retired and had to rely on the pedestrian Jeff Garcia -- were pretty amazing.
