"Steel is real", or so they used to say. Now it's carbon, titanium, and aluminum, or some combination of the three. Any teams still racing on full or partially steel frame bikes?

I am embarresed to say that I had not been routing too strongly for him before that interview. Sorrry Floyd. Now after learning a little about him, I think that like Lance he is a true super hero, and an athlete we could all look to for inspiration.

If some climbs are beyond the difficulty categories previously created, why can't they add more categories? The mountains climbs are big, but they're the same damn mountains they've climbed since the race started. Why not add a 6th or 5th category?

I followed my first tour on television in 1993, and have watched as much as I can of every one since. This year, wonderfully and disastrously, SBS television (Australia) is broadcasting every stage live, so I'm not getting enough sleep!!

I love it to bits, love the varying tactics of team cycling, love sprint finishes and insane mountain climbs. I'm waiting until I have enough $ and time to take all 3 weeks off and follow it around.

What's your Tour story?

I was wondering if it just convention that the winner of a mountain stage zips up his shirt before crossing the line, or whether there are any contractual reasons with sponors for doing this?

Any answers?

I've been trying to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels, but I'm having a difficult time with adjusting to the balance. Every time I try to ride all by myself, I always end up falling to the ground. I'm 19 years old, and my weight is about 193 or 195, and I still can't seem to balance on a bike. Is there a certain type of weight you're suppose to be in order to safely balance on your bike? I know it'll take practice, and I'm willing to do it. But I just need to know if my weight is really the issue here with riding bikes.

Does anyone else question today's performance by Sastre, and Kloden? They rode their butts off yesterday, yet blew the field apart today without showing many signs of fatigue.

I find it awfully coincidental that Sastre, and Kloden ride for the same teams of Basso and Ullrich.

my tyres keep ripping where it comes into contact with the wheel. im making sure that the rim on the tyre(that forms a seal with the rim of the wheel) are touching each other.

do i need to replace the wheels as its pointless to keep changing the tyres as they rip.

Awhile ago, I found a CD designed to be listened to while training to run. I can't find that CD anymore and I could use it! It consisted of the voice of a (maybe he was a psycologist) guy who talked the runner through the slight muscle aches and taught the runner how to get into the trance.

I know there are books that do the same -probaly. But I am specifically looking for a CD. Does anyone have a title recommendations?

What offence has been committed if you go over the speed limit on a bicycle? Clearly you can't get points on your licence because cyclists don't have licences! Anyone have any idea how the law views going 40 on a bicycle in a 30 limit? I mean pedal bike NOT motorbike :) Thanks! David.

I planned a cycling/camping trip for Aug 4 that's 75kms. I rode about 30kms yesterday, and my butt is sore, but other than that I feel good. Do you think I can actually ride 75km, or should I book a site somewhere closer? Is there time to train before the ride?
