Awhile ago, I found a CD designed to be listened to while training to run. I can't find that CD anymore and I could use it! It consisted of the voice of a (maybe he was a psycologist) guy who talked the runner through the slight muscle aches and taught the runner how to get into the trance.

I know there are books that do the same -probaly. But I am specifically looking for a CD. Does anyone have a title recommendations?

best mental training you can do is quit pounding your joints into mush and get on a bike.

Sorry cant help on that, always try ambient music? As a long-time runner tho i prefer to listen to my "inner voice" and know how my body is feeling and possibly ease off if "straining" rather than being in a "trance". Sounds like "trance" could be running into trees and passers-by rather than concentrating and "going with the flow". I also hate the idea of wearing a sound system and plastic bits in your ear but each to their own.

runner robert!
