"Steel is real", or so they used to say. Now it's carbon, titanium, and aluminum, or some combination of the three. Any teams still racing on full or partially steel frame bikes?

I can't imagine there are any doing so.

Discovery rides Trek.
CSC rides Cervélo.
T-Mobile rides Giant.
Caisse d'Epargne-Illes Balears rides Pinarello.
Milram rides Colnago.
Liquigas rides Bianchi.

Most riders get their bikes as close as possible to the Union Cycliste Internationale minimum bike weight of 6.8 kilograms. With a steel frame it would be near impossible to be at that. When doing the climbs then do every gram counts.

dude are you kidding me why go with steel when you could go to carbon, carbons lighter, faster, more aero-dynamic, and smoother. with those values why would any one want to be stuck in the 80's and 90's with steel.
