And how do you think each guy would do against the other?

How would the hungry Tommy Gunn repsond from Drago's untra hard punches?
How Ivan Drago respond from Tommy Gunn's tough aggression being the hungry contender that he was?

Why is it that Muhammad Ali is considered G.O.A.T. and his style is so spectacular when a lot of what he did is copy Sugar Ray Robinson's style? The leg movement, getting into opponent's head before matches, and general style of boxing match exactly what Sugar Ray did yet in our time today he doesn't get nearly the same recognition as Ali the "Greatest Of All Time". Of course Ali was heavy weight, had great influence in a culture changing time of society, and was more outspoken. Your thoughts

Why would people allow a person who called your friend or brother who was dying of cancer a "Liar & Coward" to even ask and answer questions here? Where's your sense of loyalty? Why don't you flag him or give him as thumbs down as he gave to your brother. Is it so easy to put Santana in the back of your minds?

I always liked Jack Dempsey until i found out he is a RACIST. A great fighter Kid Norfolk could have fought him and WON the Championship. And would probobly been a Hall of Fame inductee. But he is not because that RACIST B@STARD JACK DEMPSEY SAID "NO I ONLY FIGHT WHITES." Kid Norfolk made the great Harry Greb go blind in one eye. He had to be good. But JACK DEMPSEY SAID NO. I PRAY THAT HE IS BURNING IN HELL. While Kid Nofolk is laughin in heaven. FUGG JACK DEMPSEY!!!!!

1.Willie Pep- hard to argue with that kind of longevity.

2.Young Griffo- I did a lot of research on this guy and he was unreal. Even defensive master Jim Corbett called him "a marvel". He made hall of fame champions George Dixon, Joe Gans, Jack McAuliffe and George Kid Lavigne all look like they were swinging at nothing.

3.Nicolino Locche- Severely overlooked. He was like Pep and Griffo in that he stood right in your face and STILL made you miss. If champs like Carlos Ortiz, Antonio Cervantes, Joe Brown, Ismael Laguna and Eddie Perkins have trouble hitting you, you're doing something right.

4.Jack Johnson
5.Pernell Whitaker- though he was less effective defensively after he left the 135 lb class.
6.Wilfred Benitez- Fought like a mongoose taunting a cobra.
7.Jim Corbett- Father of modern "hit and not be hit" boxing
8.Winky Wright
9.Marlon Starling- Prototype for Wright's turtle shell defense.
10.Jimmy Young

What do y'all think? Should Tunney or Moore replace anyone?

Harry Greb vs. Ray Robinson?

Fight is at 155 lbs for both fights.

Also a few days ago an answerer stated that if Joe Frazier had never faced Muhammad Ali he would have been a nobody. Only one person fired back about this statement. What are your feelings about this statement directed toward Frazier?

Thanks ahead of time for your answers.

Is De La Hoya-Mayweather more eagerly anticipated now than Leonard-Hearns was back in 1981? My buddy seems to think so, but i say no! What do you think?

I'll take big Jeff by tko in 7 or 8. He wasn't the slow, plodding brawler people say he was(I own every fight film in existence of Jeff). In fact John L Sullivan called him "The fastest big man I have ever seen". I'm not saying he was Ali, but he wasn't Foreman either!

Jeff could also hit with murderous power. He was much larger and stronger than Dempsey and took a better shot. He fought powerpunchers like Tom Sharkey, Bob Fitzsimmons and Joe Choynski and never tasted the canvas. What powerpunchers did Dempsey fight? Firpo? An immobile statue(yet still put Jack down and almost out). Brennan? Good, not great, power. Jeff's chin is proven against heavy hitters. Dempsey's isn't.

Dempsey would fight like a wildcat, but coming straight at Jeff would play right into the big man's hands. He would have no problem caroming huge shots off Jack's head and body. Could Dempsey take it? I don't think he could.

I have a post out about who would win Bonavena or Foreman? I was shocked that most picked George run out of gas Foreman as the winner. I mean if the young Foreman had to go five rounds even Betty Crocker could dispose of him. Bonavena could easily go a full twelve rounds & at least box, & not bad for a flat footed guy at that! The YOUNG Foreman, in my opinion was a crude powerful puncher with little to no skills inside the ring but power.
So I gotta ask...if most pick Foreman to blitz Bonavena, do you see a YOUNG Liston doing the same? I'm not trying to make Bonavena into something he was not. I mean Patterson humiliated Bonavena senceless, but Jimmy Young did the same to George Foreman. Even Louis had a ruff BUT successful bout with a light heavyweight named Billy Conn. I always thought of Liston as a multi talented boxer some what in Louis' leaque. Personally I think Bonavena would give both Sonny & Louis a run for the money & KO Foreman between seven & ten rounds. Feedback please.

What rating would you give this fight out of ten?
I saw a DVD that has 3 fights. is it worth to buy on dvd or should i just rent it?

I often wondered why Foreman never got around to having a bout with Oscar Bonavena. They seemed evenly matched regarding power, skills & over all ring savy. One scarred of the other? Rumors were floating around back then but nothing came out of it. Whats your take on it? Foreman or Bonavena?
