Actually as I was going to tell you Philly as well here is a neat site with the boxers from there and their history.

But I do know there are a lot from Boston and Providence. Youngstown was famous for Ray Boom Boom Mancini, Harry Arroyo and of course current fighter Kelly Pavlic.
There are a lot of towns famous for producing good boxers. Joe Frazier helped Philly a lot I'm sure. New York had a lot of good boxers too.

The blogbaba was also born in Detroit. Thumbs up to KevinM, a true boxing historian. We also have a huge statue of Joe Louis's fist right out side Joe Louis Arena to remind the Germans who bought Chrysler what happened to Max the last time he and Joe threw down.

The Motor City has a history that rivals New York and Philly, but today L. A. has to be given it's due as well. When all is said and done, Detroit is still my hometown.

you truly can't narrow it down to cities but states and countries I can do. I say that the US(primarily NY, Florida, Penn., Texas, and Cal), UK, and the former Soviet Union produce the best boxers.
