fight strategy, if at all? In your opinion will the increase in weight effect Floyd's speed, defensive fighting style and punching power?
Does Floyd moving up in weight play into De La Hoya's hands? Does De La Hoya gain an advantage fighting at Jr. Middle? Do you believe Floyd will come in at 154 or will he come at a lighter weight ? Thanks in advance for answering all these questions.

I just saw on ESPN.com that the long awaited showdown between Oscar de la Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has finally been signed for May 5th, 2007. It will be for Oscar's jr. Middleweight title belt. Oscar said that he has not spoken to Floyd Sr. yet about training him for this fight. With so much at stake in this fight and all the emotions that will be involved, do you think Oscar is better off getting another trainer to train him for this fight like Emanuel Steward? Or should he just go with Floyd Sr.? I think if he goes with Floyd Sr. training camp might be a little awkward. What do you think? Do you think Floyd Sr. is wrong for training some one to fight his son? I probably couldn't do that to my son regardless of our relationship. Love to hear your opinions on this.

3 Russian heavyweight alphabet soup champions of the world.
Oleg Maskaev
Wlad Klitschko
Nicolai Valuev
We'll cut these "current champions" a break and make it 12 rounds, instead of 15. And YES the Holy man has gone 15 rounds before.

is in today. A long time ago in a world far far away fighters fought for one prize per weight division. When they were champions they would fight number one contenders, ducking no one. When other governing bodies sprung up and gained a semblence of legitamacy, they fought to unify the belts. My question is in three parts. What has to be done to return boxing to the prominence it enjoyed in years gone by? Who was boxing's last undisputed champion? When was he undisputed champion?

I'm only taking a guess was it B Hop? a couple of years ago? Please enlighten me. Your input is welcome and appreciated.

What strategy do both fighters take into the ring? obviously, Pacquiao is the much stronger and quicker fighter and Morales knowlegde and counter attacks have got him over the top. But this is the finale to what is an epic rivalry, so how do both fighters take the mistakes from the past 2 fights and excel at the final?

If Manny Pacquiao were to have faced these men in the ring at the Featherweight limit, What do you think would be the outcome, analysis is appreciated. Just saying "wins by KO" is boring and doesn't cause one to think further on the subject. Description of how the fight unfolds is what I'd like to see, thanks.

I know the question "Muhammed Ali vs. Mike Tyson" has been asked before--I saw references to it while typing the question myself--but I thought I'd ask it from another perspective. I personally believe that Ali was/is over-rated; as a former teacher would say, he believed his own press releases, and paid the price by contracting a degenerative disease. In my opinion "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" would not cut the mustard in the ring with a man who fought (in his prime) like a mad dog. Does anyone agree with me?

In Rocky, apparently none of the possible opponents were willing to fight Apollo Creed with five weeks notice, even if it was a shot at the heavyweight championship. Do you think this would be true in real life today?
