This would be a great fight if it ever happens but i think if it does it will be a couple of years down the line, I presume this would also mean Taylor vacating his Middleweight belts to step up because there is no way Joe would get his weight down to fight at middleweight so i think there is more prospect of this fight taking place after Joe has unified the titles at Super-Middle so there is more to fight for when it actually takes place.
As for who actually wins i think it would be a really close fight, i think it would definitely go to a decision as they both look to have good chins, i think Calzaghe would be the busier in the fight so that might give him the edge but then again if its on HBO which i presume it would be as Joes just signed for them as well i could see Taylor getting the decision as we have all seen some dubious decisions in his last 3 fights (only joking i probably agreed with the last 2)

I think this fight will happen mid-late next year. Taylor has already said it "near impossible" for him to make 160 (so I think Ouma may be his last fight at Middle) and that he wants to fight the best out there at 168, specifically mentioning Joe. Joe's focus right now is to get some US recogniton (and money) and he has mentioned Taylor as a potential opponant, so I see this fight happening before any fight with Kessler (which is too bad). I personally feel Taylor handles Joe. I think Taylor adapts nicely to 168 and he has 2 wins and draw against two slicker boxers than Calzaghe (the 1st Bhop was qustionable, but I thought he won the second, and Im one of the ones who thought he beat Wright). I see Taylor winning by a close but unamimous decision, especially since this fight wont take place in the UK.

I think it could be a good fight, but I would much rather see Calzaghe fight Kessler and unify the belts. I'd like to see the boxer-slugger match-up of Calzaghe-Kessler. I personally think it would be the toughest fight either had fought to this point and after the belts are unified then Calzaghe could go on the hunt to fight some fighters in other weight classes.

Calzaghe will probably box circles around Taylor.

Since both fighters are unbeaten as professionals to date, that doesn't really settle anything. The next set of criteria would be common opponents. I think this is a fight that could go either way.

Taylor by split decision, a razor thin margin of victory.
