I think he will do well as long as he stays at Light-Welter i think his last outing against Collazo has given everybody enough evidence already that he isn't gonna rule the Welterweight division. I hope he goes after Castillo after Urango and then the other Belt holders at Light-Welter then maybe America will sit up and take notice.
The answer to your other question is a definite yes but only at Light-Welter and Mayweather is never gonna drop back down so we unfortunately will never see this fight.
I would just like to ask Oya, when he noticed Hatton being vulnerable to these shots, Ive been watching him for ten years and haven't really seen him in trouble apart from against 2 southpaws (Collazo and Macgee) who never threw a straight right to trouble him as i remember ????????? And how is his chin questionable he has been knocked down once in his career and he got up and won the fight ???????????? And Mayweather will have to start throwing Punch's instead of running away if he is going to knock anybody out ever again.??????????? and for anybody significant, He fought Kostya Tszyu in a fight which he wasn't supposed to win according to the bookies, watch what Kostya done to Sharmba Mitchell and Zab (chicken dance) Judah if you think he weren't significant.

Ricky has won fights by employing the strategy of putting all his energy out and so denying his opponent a chance to get a rest when he wants one. The opponent has to fight Ricky's fight and Ricky has trained for that tactic and simply outlasts them. He is a strong and determined fighter and a good ambassador for boxing. He had trouble with, but overcame, Collazo who was the bigger man, a southpaw and a very capable fighter - he still is. Ricky will have to stay at welterweight to continue his success because, with the weigh-in occurring so far ahead of the fight, welterweights enter the ring at 160 pounds or more. Those guys are just too big for him. He belongs in the upper echelon of light-welters but he has "short career" stamped all over his work and, once he slips back even a tiny bit, the likes of Miguel Cotto, Mohammed Abdullayev and Diego Corrales will be on him like white on rice. Another concern is Ricky's weight fluctuation between fights. I saw him recently on TV and he was enormous, that must make the early part of training a drag and it might catch up with him eventually. Even the Greatest, Muhammud Ali, used laxatives and diuretics to lose weight quickly.
I do not think that Ricky would have beaten Mayweather at any weight, Mayweather has a different nervous system to most people and his messages get delivered quicker. But what do I know? I never thought Lloyd Honeyghan would beat Donald Curry and he performed a Master-class on him. I thought that Mike Tyson would go through Evander Holyfield like a hot knife through butter but Holyfield was mentally so much stronger. Whatever, I wish Ricky a long and happy retirement and I think that will be in 2007.

I feel he has not really tested yet at this Level. Tzuyu was a great fighter but Ricky beat when he was on the way down. I would love to fight the big fights because he is like Calzaghe, bring him big fights and we will seethe real Hatton and he will beat Mayweather with his sheer persistence and durabiilty. My view.

Hatton is a complete joke...he turned down a chance to fight floyd cuz he is a pu$$y, so why should floyd let him have a chance again....Hatton beats up european scrubs in England and thats all. He fought in Boston and looked terrible and should of lost that decision.....PBF would slap Hatton around like the little b!tch that he is.

For me the jury is still out. He is a very talented puncher but I have yet to see him tested by anyone significant. I think Floyd could knock him out as Hatton is very vulnerable to right hands and left hooks as his defense is questionable as well as his chin.

Floyd is tough, but I would like to think that Hatton is durable enough and can use his boxing skills to greater effect.

He can beat them all if he does it now, but the more fights he has to get there the less chance he's gonna be to stay sharp and fresh.
Look at Tyson, It took him that long to get at Lewis hes wasnt even the shadow of his old self.

Ricky doesnt have a chance against Floyd, hes to easy to hit and he cuts to easiliy. Floyd would dance around hima and pot-shot him unitl the fight would be stopped due to cuts. Most of the big fights for Ricky in the US are wat WW now, and we saw Ricky is vunerable at this weight in the Collazo fight (not taking anything form Collazo hes a good/overlooked fighter but hes not a big puncher). Margarito, Williams, and Cintron are all to big for him, and I dont think he could handle Cotto's power (if Cotto can hit you youre in big touble and Ricky can definately be hit). I think he could beat Corrales, JLC would be a good fight, but I dont think he wins. Anyway I dont think he stacks up all that well against top US competition.
