Holyfield have a shot at winning the heavweight title?
Provided he gets 3 more fights under his belt and wins them all could he out box and beat one of the 4 current heavyweight champions?

In your opinion would it even take 3 fights before he gets a shot? He would be a big name on of those four fighters resumes. With a couple of fights under his belt I think he would be a dangerous opponent for all four of the champs.

The way the heavyweight division is right now, Holyfield's got a chance to become a 5 time champ if he gets a title shot. He's been counted out many times over but proved his critics wrong.I absolutely believe he will retake the crown. He's got a big heart and the most courageous fighter ever.

Holyfield has a strong chance of winning another title. One more tune up fight may make the pay day worthwhile for Shannon Briggs to hand the title over. However Klitschko would be able to keep Holyfield away with his jab, and eventually set up the right hand to end the fight. Remember Klitschko is being trained by the same man to lead Lewis past Holyfield before with similar height and reach advantages (Emmanuel Stewart). I am become a Klitschko supporter as he appears to have a great right hand, appropriate patience, good trainer, and a good head on his shoulders. (has a PHD)

Even the golden era of heavyweights (Ali, Foreman, Frazer, Liston) replaced into criticised at cases. purely because that is boring to observe and stocks eras of fulfillment with different divisions, extremely welterweight, doesnt make the heavyweight branch weak. Its also to do with this style of fighter contained in the dep. lately. Ali replaced into about 220pounds, Frazier purely somewhat more effective than that. The Klitschko's, Valuev and such are a minimum of a few inches taller and 40pounds heavier, this makes the fights extra torpid and sluggish even although the combatants themselves are nonetheless solid

Holyfield could give any current champ a good run, he would knock out Briggs, and Maskaev, i think he would beat a majorly overrated Wlad Klitschko on points but Valuev although not great as a technical boxer is underrated and would take Holyfield out in the later rounds, due to Holy's age and the sheer strengh of Valuev. I'm dying to see David Haye move up to heavy, he's the man to watch!!......

The Hwy wt division is weak but Holyfield should stay retired. In sports, age is the great equalizer.

Holyfield says that he won't retire until God tells him to (what a crock).

he looked slow & i wish he would retire. he has had a career few can match. but the champs all look beatable, & you can never count holyfield out until the ref does. in his prime he wipes the ring with with these guys, so it comes down to, what does he have left? if he gets a shot, lets hope he retires win or lose. great champ, deserves to go out with his mind & dignity intact

No, he is far worse that what is at the top...he can beat bums all day on the best damn sports show...but he would get whaaasted by top teir heavyweights. Sure the heavyweight division isnt that strong...but its alot better than holyfield is right now. Dont let his wins over soft opponets fool you.

I never though I'd be saying this, but yes, he has a shot at fighting for a 5th title.
The way they're building this up, I don't think it'll take three fights to get there. The money people can't take that chance.
