3 Russian heavyweight alphabet soup champions of the world.
Oleg Maskaev
Wlad Klitschko
Nicolai Valuev
We'll cut these "current champions" a break and make it 12 rounds, instead of 15. And YES the Holy man has gone 15 rounds before.

a_p_ - bias in a boxing forum is really one person's opinion about a sport that lends itself to subjectivity more than any other sport in the world. People aren't little sh*ts and pr*cks because they don't see it your way. Agree to disagree a_p_.

I see our childlike m n has decided to join us and put his 2 cents in, ya want 10 points ? I'l give them to you. Brad do something about this guy.

a_p_ - You know what would earn my respect in reference to the heavyweight champs. For them to start fighting one another and unify the titles. The only one I know of that is expressing his desire to do this is the newest of the champs, Shannon Briggs.

Smitty is back, good to see the written word, and you've confirmed something that I was wrong about.

Holyfield beats all 3.

Brent, you can put these bums in with Holyfield all at the same time and he'll still win.
Guess what? After what Holyfield did to Oquendo this past Friday and watching Ukraine's finest struggle with Brock on Saturday, I'm starting to buy into Holyfield's fantasy about a fifth title.

*additional*

Brent, this numbskull M N is just that, a numbskull. Just violate his as* outta here.
Our English friend, Ribafish, is another matter entirely. He has decent boxing knowledge, but takes things too seriously and I suspect he may be in love with Wladimir Klitschko.
Talking for myself, I have a completely objective approach to the sport, just like everything else in life. If a fighter's good, he's good. If he's mediocre, he's mediocre.
In the case of Klitschko, I don't care if he was an Olympic gold medalist. So was Howard Davis jr. I don't care how hard he hits, he gets knocked on his as* all the time and he quit, QUIT against the mighty Ross Puritty.
As we saw this past Friday, Holyfield's greatness is still playing itself out. A prime Holyfield against a prime Klitschko would have been a mismatch. Evander would have taken him to school and knocked him out.
Holyfield's quest for a fifth title could not have come at a better time in boxing history. The division is the most vulnerable it's ever been.
I never thought I'd ever be saying this, but if Evander can pull off winning just one of the three major belts, never mind unifying the title, then we seriously have to reconsider Muhammad Ali's place as the greatest heavyweight in history.
Yup, you read that right.

Don't worry my peeps; I'll take care m_n (mighty nothing).

In his prime, Holyfield would beat any of these guys.

Brent - Even in sports, objectivity trumps subjectivity.

Holyfield should retire. Getting beat up as an old fighter could be what causes boxing dementia.

I know that santana is not talking about being objective. He has called Ray Leonard a coward on several occasions. If that is not subjective then there is no tea in China.

Holyfield would destroy all three it would not even be a contest , the difference between Holyfield and those guys is that Holyfield knew the sweet science , he knew how to box , and he knew how to brawl , but most of all he had the skill to dismantle , frustrate , and knock out an opponent , for example when he destroyed Mike Tyson , he gave Tyson a boxing lesson , yes my friend Holyfield in his prime knocks out all three especially glass jaw Klitschko .

This is a great question.
Against Evander at his best Maskaev would have no chance. Even though a current world champion, Oleg is definitely not on this level and he'd get a boxing lesson here and wound up knocked out inside seven or eight rounds.
Nikolay Valuev wouldn't do much better either. I don't think that Evander would be able to knock him out, but he would definitely convincingly outbox him without much trouble and win a very loop sided unanimous decision.
But Wladimir, in my opinion, is a different story. I would also have Evander as a slight favorite here but this would have been an awesome match. Evander is more talented and more complete boxer and at his best, I think that he was able to get in and mix his punches lot better then Wladimir can. But Wladimir, on the other hand is also very skilled, technical and incredibly powerful. He uses the left jab excellently to control people and set them up for that sledgehammer of a right straight and if only one of those gets through cleanly it's lights out for anyone regardless of how tough they are. So, I don't know... I think that this would depend on who would inflict his plan better. If Evander managed to get past the jab, close him down and look to rough him up on the inside Wladimir would have some real problems and he would definitely loose this fight. But then again, if Wladimir was able to work the jab continuously, keep him at bay and in control he would surely, sooner or later, put one of those right missiles through and end it. So once again, Evander is more complete boxer and I also have him as a slight favorite here, but we are talking about a close and competitive match none the less.

You know Brent, this one last thing doesn't have anything to do with your question but I really need to address it, I hope you won't mind.
The amount of bashing and disrespect that Wladimir gets by some people on this sight is just disgusting. This man is an Olympic champion, professional world heavyweight champion, very skilled, accomplished, tremendous boxer, without question the best heavyweight in the world at this moment and all around one of the best sportsmen today. Yet some of us apparently think of him as a bum, a fraud, a piece of shitt and so on. After the Brock fight there were people here running their mouth about how he was, dull, scared, lucky to get one punch in... and all these people, just a week ago, after that abomination, an embarrassment of a title fight, the worst 36 minutes in boxing history were saying how great Briggs did and how good his match was. Kiltschko Brock fight was the match of the century compared to this. Don't get me wrong, I like Shannon and I'm glad he's the champion, he deserves to be. I'm just using this as an example to point out the bias and hatred towards Wladimir on this sight. I would, in the end, just like to say that acting like this doesn't make anyone a boxing fan, it certainly doesn't make anyone a patriot, it just shows some people for ignorant, bias little pric*s that they really are.

Brent, you got me all wrong man. I'm not trying to dictate people how to think. I'm just saying that they should show some respect where it's so rightfully due. You can't seriously believe that man like Wladimir Klitschko should be refereed to as a bum or some of those other things

Brad M, as I have told you ten times before, am not an Englishman! Why is that so hard to remember? And: "...I suspect he may be in love with Wladimir Klitschko..." - WHAT A HELL ?!!!! I posted only legitimate arguments here just like I did for Lennox Lewis, Joe Calzaghe, Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Tomasz Adamek.... and so on in previous questions and what - your counter argument is to try and make me look gay?! That's lame man and I resent that.
