For the many Kobe haters throughout the world, what would it take for you consider Kobe to be the best player in the league right now? What would it take for you to understand that he is the closest thing to Jordan that is in the league right now and that neither Lebron, T-mac, Anthony, Wade or anywhere near on his level.

i'm pretty short (i'm 5'2 or 5'3) and i want to play shooting guard. tryouts are next week. i'm 14 and a freshman in high school. i've never played in an organized basketball league before, so i don't think i'll be that good. what are some things i can do to work on my shooting, layups, and dribbling? what are some drills (please don't say just practice)? also, i'm really nervous i'll just embarrass myself like if i miss a layup or someone steals it from me. what do i do?

I just discovered this website. It was a little disturbing.

It's hard to believe that one man can get into so much trouble. I kind of feel sorry for his shortsightedness. He's a celebrity; doesn't he know what people think of him? He's become the NBA's #1 villain, and yet it doesn't seem like he cares.

Did something bad happen to him when he was a kid? I mean, he wasn't born this way. Ron Artest is a guy who is hard to like but easy to pity. What happened?

The Hawks seem to show promise every year, but injuries kill them. Losing Acie Law is not a huge blow yet, but if Josh Smith is out for awhile. it might get ugly quick.

Antonio Mcdyess has lost some of his athleticism but he still has a very accurate medium range shot, 18 feet and in. Yet he always seems to hesitate in taking those shots and prefers to pass. Why do you think he is gun-shy?

and Kirilenko last week

Here is a memorable one from 2 years ago he pulled out on Marcus Camby

Camby, Kirilenko last week, Duncan last night, Yao-za tonight, who's gonna be Kobe's next victim? hahaha

P.S. if you haven't noticed, those guys are at least 6 foot 10 or taller

Would you rather be a role player in the NBA, making at least $5,000,000 per year, or be a star player and make at least $15,000,000 per year?
Role player you would have more privacy and more freedom, you wouldn't be the main player on the team, so recieve less pressure, while star player, you would need body guards, and your privacy would be taken away and not much freedom, also your team depends on you every game, and you have lots of pressure.

I know it's still early (less than 9 games into the season)...and the poor numbers from O'Neal might be due to a new coach and a new system, but 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block, shooting 39% to start the season is down right awful.

On the flip side, the two players the Pacers wanted for O'Neal are doing quite well so far. Bynum is averaging 10 points/10rebounds in just under 24 minutes a game. Dude is averaging 20 points/20 rebounds per 48 minutes! Also, Lamar Odom looks just fine after shoulder surgery.

So with that said, who thinks the Lakers should still trade for this guy?
