basketball and school work do not necessarily go against each other. i'm sure you have time to do both. it's just a matter of planning your day properly. you might want to check out books or websites on time management. i'd say go ahead and do both.

I also started playing basketball when I was in 5th grade, and I'm also a freshman now. In 7th grade, I joined the varsity, I was also hesitant at first because it may cause my grades to go down. But, I still went for it. And it turned out that I studied harder cause I don't want to leave the team. If basketball's your passion go for it. But, always make your studies your first priority. Education still lasts longer.

I'm a freshman 2 and i dont let my grades get in between Soccer. If u really like basket ball then u shud just try harder. I think u shud join cuz u might regret it later on if u dont! =]

Even if basketball is fun, your grades should come first. You can always work hard on your grades and play next year.

"Me, I'll HIRE plenty of tutors when I do enroll into a university."

"TIME MANAGEMENT, is all it takes to keep a high G.P.A. and participate in
athletic programs."

"The tutors are only for what I DO NOT COMPREHEND."

"In college basketball, a big enough basketball following will have plenty of
tutors going along to each road game with the 'tailgaters'. If not, I'll find some
adorable cheerleader or a beautiful member of the university band."

"That's what college athletic program 'BOOSTERS' are really supposed to do,
keep their beloved team members minds sharp and ready for each exam,
not to be their corporate sponsors."

"You my lady, I suggest you buy a C.D. player with a carry-case for your only
source of entertainment. All weekend and nightly television viewing pleasure
have come to a 'MAD AND SCREECHING HALT', if you wish to play sports
and still keep a high G.P.A.."

If you don't think you can handle it all skip out for a year.
If you want that experience go for it.

It doesnt last to long

Go with your gut.
