I know it's still early (less than 9 games into the season)...and the poor numbers from O'Neal might be due to a new coach and a new system, but 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block, shooting 39% to start the season is down right awful.

On the flip side, the two players the Pacers wanted for O'Neal are doing quite well so far. Bynum is averaging 10 points/10rebounds in just under 24 minutes a game. Dude is averaging 20 points/20 rebounds per 48 minutes! Also, Lamar Odom looks just fine after shoulder surgery.

So with that said, who thinks the Lakers should still trade for this guy?

Why would they trade a player who stunk and they still wanted to keep him now that he's averaging great numbers for a guy that is going into decline in maybe 1-2 years?

I would do it. Bynum still looks several years away (if ever). Don't forget that he's also super foul-prone so he'd also be averaging like 20 fouls every 48 minutes.

L. Odom doesn't seem to have ever been comfortable with the Lakers and especially with Kobe on the floor and he might only have a few years left too- so i'd trust Jermaine more than Odom. You might be able to package another player and get Jermaine and like a Danny Granger.

Kobe seems to have calmed a bit and with J.O. maybe they can lure one more free agent in the off-season and that would keep Kobe in L.A.

Go Lakers!

definite, i think of he will bypass to the Lakers. Odom and Bynum for Jermaine. no one needs to play with Knicks. With him Lakers are going to be an elite team back. Kobe is gonna be chuffed, a minimum of lakers will bypass first around, they could bypass convention finals if O'neal comes.

ummmm i dont think the Lakers want O'Neal cuz if they did they would of made that move awhile back.

Kobe will be gone next season, so whats the use?

The only reason the trade failed because they don't want to trade Bynum, why do you even put him up there.
