For the many Kobe haters throughout the world, what would it take for you consider Kobe to be the best player in the league right now? What would it take for you to understand that he is the closest thing to Jordan that is in the league right now and that neither Lebron, T-mac, Anthony, Wade or anywhere near on his level.

Well he is... In the individual category that is. Not a hater but if Kobe should really earn the respect of people here why don't he try to develop Odom into his reliable sidekick something that Michael Jordan has done to Scottie Pippen? Another factor is he should lead this team out of the first round... not do a vanishing act like he does year-after-year. Score too many in the regular season and simply accept defeat in the play-offs... Kobe has yet to prove he is a leader, but as an individual player he is, to my opinion the best around.

Kobe Bryant is the best all around player in the league today, and arguably the greatest talent of his generation. For a shooting guard his rebounding is quite good, and assists wise he can do it when required but that isn't usually his role on the team, he's there to score points. And defense? he is a multiple all NBA first team defender. He is the fiercest competitor in the league, and has an excellent work ethic, LeBron has a long way to go before he can be in Kobe's league, much like Kobe has a way to go before he could be considered in Jordan's league.

I'm not a Kobe hater, but I definitely dont like him..i think he should just keep his mouth shut about demanding trades and just play the game..in my opinion (which im entitled to) he's the best SCORER in the league but not the best player and i dont mean just this year..they're are at least a handful of guys I'd take before I'd take Kobe

stop crying all the time i bet if Michael Jordan seal played he wouldnt cry like kobe does all the time if he want to be traded he would have been traded and have not told people he want out out of L.A. then you go back to your coach and tell him i never said that and i dont want to be traded so kobe can kiss my a*ss he can be the best player in the league it does mean s*hit if you have 3 ring and you think kobe does want a new ring plz but i dont think he will get a ring any time soon dywane wade will have more ring then he does when he done with nba

I do not like kobe, but he is the best player in the league right now. BUT he will never be a "great" player until he becomes a team player like MJ

He would have to stop demanding trades, stop demanding that his teammates be traded, stop ripping his young teammates, stop being a crybaby, stop raping women, lead his team out of a first round series, oh, and the Kobe lovers could quit comparing him to Jordan.

As far as talent and skills go yeah, I would consider that a great possibility. However in order to be the best player in the league you need not only to have both talent and skills, but selflessness ant great sportsmanship, and he lacks that greatly in my opinion.

I'm not a Kobe hater. But he's not the "closest thing" to Jordan (an idea that is pointless in itself, no one will ever come close to Jordan). He might want to try making his teammates better like LeBron does, rather than worse.
