I mean that taller players are going to be more imposing and stronger. I personally think wes unseld is the strongest for his size. He grabbed 15 rebounds a gme for his carrer and he was only 6 foot 6 over guys like russel and chamberlain!

Some basketball "genius" said that the #3 NBA scorer of all time was "carried" by a teammate.

So this is what I want to know.

Did these players need one, certain, special player to "carry" them or could any one of 2 dozen quality players available at the time these guys were in the league done the same job as the "supplementary" guy?

Did they "need" any one guy to "help" them or could any quality players (usually 50 or so in the NBA at any one given time) compliment their special abilities on the court?

I mean, they obviously would have to have TEAMMATES in order to play in the NBA.

i think they do but the position that really worrys me is the C position becvause i dont think that kendrick perkins is going to be able to stay in a game 35 minutes and score and defende but overall im happy witb the team they have this year.

I know I know, there are more interesting topics to be talking about. But with every other team in that division either standing pat (Toronto and NJ, both playoff teams), or getting stronger in some way (Knicks land Randolph, Boston gets Ray Allen and KG), you have to figure the Sixers will probably be a bottom feeder again this year. But within 3-4 years all of those teams, except maybe Toronto will be old, worn-out, and probably terrible. Will Philly be back to stay in that amount of time, by that I mean a top 3 playoff team in the East?

My Schools basketball team starts..Around october/November. And I wanna get better at it.I`m already good. I make MOST of My 3 pointers.I shoot freethrows well I can do layups.I`m a good ball handler(like really really good).
I can do a lot.But the problem is.I need to work on my veritcal jump,My shooting (meaning staying in place and making the shot.)Because I jump over the line (at 3poiinter) but i still make it.I need to learn how to stay in the same place and make the shot(basicly the vertical jump)So what would help me?I`m 5'5,Almost 13 yrs old. I weight about 114 (I've gained a little bit of muscle).I go to the gym a few times.We have weights,Cardio,And etc there..So what things at the gym would help me improve my Jumping/Shooting and etc.Also I can shoot with either hand..I`m right handed but I feel more comfortable with my left..I use a little bit of strength of my right hand when shooting,I can shoot with the right.But it goes like on the side a lot.(i have no idea why)

Is it a good idea to trade paul pierce or ray allen for a good center or point guard or defender or supporting casts? now that celtics have ray allen and kg i think they need supporting casts, defenders or a good point guard... is it a good idea? if yes which player and teams?
for me it is a good idea,but i dont think it's possible after all the years pierce stayed in boston while allen is just traded to them

Im playing NBA 2K7. Just started an association with the Celtics. Havent even went past the first day yet.

I offered Paul Peirce to the Cavs for LeBron and Drew Gooden, since Peirce is 20 mil and Lebron is only 5 mil, I had to add Gooden so they would have the cap space.

They made me a counter offer.. Heres how it goes -

I get LeBron and Gooden. Cavs get Peirce and 1st round draft pick.. Sound good?

I don't care what no one says, even though Dirk Nowitzki hasn't got his ring YET, talent wise Dirk is much better than Larry Bird in So many ways.
