Big Al is a basketball player. Howard is an athletic big man. Al has an exceptional offensive repetoire for a big man. That's hard to come by. He also plays with more passion than Howard. In my mind it isn't even close. In the future Al is going to greatly outshine Howard.

Bill Simmons agrees too. Quote:"Al Jefferson
Did you know that the best young low-post player in basketball right now is only 11 months older than Dwight Howard? It's true. Howard is a more powerful player than Jefferson, and he's definitely a better rebounder, but as we witnessed on Sunday night -- when Jefferson soundly outplayed him, by the way -- Big Al is a much more polished offensive player and needs to be double-teamed at all times. Howard's points come on fast breaks, finishes and putback dunks and that's it. I don't know who's better, but it's definitely up for debate. Check out their post-All Star break numbers:

• Jefferson: 19.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 56 percent shooting.

Why is it Shaq and Kobe were penalized for playing with each other, but Nash isn't, with him having two other All-Stars, and Nowitzki isn't, with him having All-Stars and former All-Stars? Seems to me that the whole MVP race took on a new definition from back in the past

I am a hardcore Clippers fan, even though I don't have all the fan gear/apparell.

But I have to be realistic.

Do you think the Clippers will beat the Hornets today?

and

will they get lucky enough, that Golden State loses against the Blazers (today also)?

The Warriors play a half hour before the Clippers game starts. So I'm sure Mike Dunleavy will let 'em know if they've got the chance to make it to the playoffs.

Go Clips!

Remember how close they came last year and they got the same team, maybe better, and the greatest playoff coach ever: Phil Jackson.

My vote is either the Mavs or the Pistons. I favor the Pistons because I am a die-hard Detroit fan. (You may choose one from the East and one from the West currently in the playoff picture.)

Thoughts>?

Let's see. $10 million dollar franchise fee for starters.
Extremely low salary cap ( about $900,000 ).
Teams only need about 8,500 attendance to make a profit.

Sounds like the perfect deal for a small city trying to get a pro sports franchise, like Boise Idaho, Little Rock Arkansas, Portsmouth NH....

Why aren't more WNBA teams popping up all over the map ?
