Blame it on the Bobcats, I liked it alot better, before they re-seeded the conferences, and their were only 2 divisions in each conference.
Cavs went from having to play heat and Detroit, to get to the Eastern Conference Finals...to now having to play Wizards and winner of Raptors/Nets...WOW, what a difference one game made.

Yeah. I mean in a league where your divisions mean pretty much nothing, they should just scrap the divisions and just go by records. I think thats the only fair way to do it. It's supposed to be the best teams have the highest seeds, but then why do we have situations like this where Chicago is a 5 seed when they have a better record then the 3 and 4 seed.

If they played everyone in the conference the same number of times, I'd agree with you. However, they play teams in their division more than teams in the other two divisions in their conference and they play them more than teams in the other conference. In the Eastern Conference, the divisions are Atlantic, Central and Southeast; in the Western Conference, the divisions are Southwest Northwest and Pacific. The way it is set up now, the division winners are the 1, 2, and 3 seeds. The team with the best record after those three is the 4 seed. After that, it's by record. Since you play teams in your division the most, it makes the most sense.

I agree.
The bulls should have gotten 3rd seed, not 5th.
Atleast it's better than last year when the second best team in the league (Mavs) got 4th seed and a not so great team (nuggets) got 3rd seed.
They do this so that the division winner gets home some sort of reward, otherwise there is no point in having divisions (which i think should done away with, i don't see what purpose they serve)

Yep, they seem to change it every year.
Record alone isn't fair since some divisions are stronger than others. But there will never be a totally fair system.
