I love Thomas and Aldridge and Roy is definitely the winner of Rookie of the Year due to his stats with his starter playing time but at this moment, if u r asking who is making the team better when he is on court, it will be Walter Herrmann. Look at the games he started and the games the Bobcats won. He is shooting better than Bargnani and he is winning with the Bobcats. If he really did started at the beginning of the season, Bobcats may even have a chance to make the playoffs.

Brandon Roy will get it.
No doubt about it. He's led all rookies in minutes, points and assists this season and has shown how much more refined a player you are if you stay in school and pick up some college experience.

As for runner up, you'd have to give it to Rudy Gay. He's recorded 4 double doubles this year and has been one of the few bright spots for a horrid Grizzlies team.

You gotta say Brandon Roy, he's flat out the best rookie who has had the best season. Adam Morrison started out fast, but hit the wall, Rudy Gay will probably be second, but none of them really impacted their teams record. Bargniani developed later in the season. No one else is worth mentioning. Brandon Roy already has the NBA game.

brandon roy should get the honors, whether he made his team better or not. tyrus thomas and bargniani were players of teams who already had mainstays that reached the all star levels, so they are not totally the reason why their respective teams got to the playoffs
