There are so many great things about basketball.
1st...it's the ultimate game of beauty and movement.
2nd this is the only game where one person can make a difference when nothing else is working.
3rd it's not very expensive to learn...like baseball, golf & tennis. You can easily go just about anywhere to play.
Never saw anyone getting killed or terminally injured playing our sport, unlike football, hockey or NASCAR.
It's easy to teach even if you are unwilling to learn.
Over the past 30 years only basketball have grasped the fan base over the planet. Not soccer. Basketball is popular everywhere not just in the states.
Basketball is the only sport where fans are closely connected with its players. Fans sit so close to the action you are almost a part of the game.
Go to the restroom, go and get something to eat, even if you blink...you'll miss something special in basketball game.
Basketball can boast that the most athletes known worldwide are basketball players...guys like Kobe, Shaq, Tracy, Dirk, Tim & Dikembe are all from different places over the globe but they all do one thing...play basketball.
The best nicknames are from basketball players...Air, The Stilt, Magic, The Hick from French Lick, The Natural, Mr. Clutch, Pearl, The Human Highlight Film, and my personal favorite...The Doctor.

Love it and every moment of it. Playing or watching. It is usually more exciting than other sports. Dunks, blocks, threes, ankle breakers and over times after overtimes .... what else can u ask for in a sport.
