I think Joey Crawford deserves to be suspended and Tim Duncan deserves the fine. I have been a referee and I know that sometimes a player, coach or fans can be pretty hard on referees even if all their calls are the right one. But as a professional, Joey Crawford should have understand that any players would complain about their fouls call agaiinst them even kids playing elementary school basketball. However, unless what Duncan was doing is threat to him and is stopping him from doing his job then Duncan doesn't deserves the T. But if a player did use verbal abused again the referees or trying to get in their way of doing heir job like keeps on complaining to him even if the game has move on then a T is possible. However, a T for laughing towards a silly foul laughed by a player is not possible. In Duncan case if he was truely laughing with Horry, Horry should have got a T too. So yes he does deserves the suspension. Duncan on the other hand should have complain directly to officials and NBa administration rather than making a statement in the press. It kiils the credibility of the NBA administration. And sometimes a ref knows it is a wrong call but keeps their decision for credibility reason too.
So please have some mercy on our referees, and referees please be professional.

even however Joey Crawford has an ego problem, he's between the extra beneficial refs interior the NBA suitable now and David Stern can no longer have adequate money the scrutiny a public combat with the Referees Union could convey on the League after his employer did no longer observe Tim Donaghy's unethical and unlawful movements for seasons. i think of Crawford discovered a lesson besides as David Stern: The refs are their to alter the product and he's there to alter the regulators. playstation : He replaced into suspended for the entire playoffs, so i don't know ways he replaced into showing favoritism/prejudice. extraordinarily thinking he's a Philadelphia guy and the Sixers are undesirable regardless if he calls their video games or no longer.

yeah Stern's right. Despite being a Mavs fan I don't see any good reason why he gave 2 T's to Duncan. Tim was just laughing! I mean, c'mon, everbody has the right to laugh whenever they want, right? and USA is called "the land of the free..." so Tim has every right to laugh. I really felt sorry for the Spurs that night, coz the game would have turned out different if Tim was there up to the end. And no, this isn't the first this has happened. It happened 4 seasons ago, during the playoffs between Spurs and Mavs too. but that time, it was against the Mavs. You can read the full article in this link.

Yes, this has been a long time coming for Crawford. He is a hothead on his best days, and this wasn't his best day. I've never seen a guy get thrown out of a game for getting the giggles on the bench. This is a blessing for NBA fans, especially with the playoffs coming. Just remember, good referees are usually anonymous. Famous refs are usually famous for the wrong reasons.

Yes, Stern was right.
This is the second one for Joey Crawford.
The first one is on 02-03 playoff, Dallas vs San Antonio.
The victim was Don Nelson and Del Harris

Yes, it was the right thing to do because this is the second offense for him. I heard from ESPN, with how Crawford took it that he might not want to come back to the NBA anymore.

That poopeater Crawford had it coming. HE seems to think the more he is a dick to players the more camera time he will get. I hope they do not let him come back next year if he does not apoligize for how he acted.

yes he was right. crawford cant give someone a tech for laughing. he shouldnt even be looking at the bench to see what they are doing. his job is to watch the game, and make the calls that affect the game.
