Basketball - January 2007

I play on a middle school basketball team. I tried out to make the team. Im good and all that I average alot of assists and rebounds and blocks, I am a guard though. The games are good and we have a 5-2 record. The problem is, I get only about 6-10 minutes a game. The games have 8 minute quaters. I dont score alot. In the 7 games we have played I scored 2 points. When I get back to school everyone asks me how many points I score and I have to say 0 and they laugh in my face. It really hurts me. Help please!

whats it called when the basketball slams down on your finger
and your finger bends back and it BURNS
i hate when that happens!

What would you do if you were on the basketball team at a junior highschool. You had to practice everyday from 3:00pm-5:00 pm. your coach was very mean, and you didn't like basketball as much as you used to. You have to run whenever you make a mistake. The coach makes you feel like you're never good enough. Would you quit or what? Have you had something worse than this?

Of all the 7+ footers of all time, who's the best?

I'll say Wilt Chamberlain even though all the players during his time were like 6'0".

Shaq comes in at second place even though I'm not a big fan of his aggressive play and even though I think he gets away with alot of charges and earlier in his career alot of traveling.

Anyone else? I'm probably missing a legend or two but I'm sure someone else can help.

I've been scanning the goals in NBA Live 2005, and three of them say, "Achieve a double double," "Achieve a triple double," and "Achieve a quadruple double."

Also, on ESPN NBA 2K5, it says to get a double double by anyone on the team.

Now, what are these? And what stats deal with them?

After watching him play against the Lakers (as well as many of his other games this season) I've come to the conclusion that he's possibly the most overrated player in the league. Sure he makes the highlight reels every now and then. Sure he makes a couple of trick shots. BUT, that's not worthy of the praise that he gets. The press makes this guy sound like the next Jordan!

When the Spurs played the Lakers 2 days ago, he made THE dumbest turnovers I've seen all season. My favorite, towards the end of the game when his team needed the ball the most he tried to make a no look pass and ended up passing it to a Lakers player. WTF was that? I mean, he's no Steve Nash and when your team is in that situation you go for the safe bucket, not a pass that has like 25% of hitting its target. I can go on more, but you get the picture. I think M. Ginobili is way to inconsistent to be getting as much credit as he gets.

Anyone else think that this guy is way too overrated?

We know that Larry Bird and Michael Jordan are the greatest players of all time. BUT, what about those who never won any rings. Of all the players to never win a championship, who was the best of them all?

Any players that you put in must be retired because active players without a ring still have a chance at it.
