I would think that your problem is a mental one.
I suggest seeing a psychiatrist.

first of all i doubt you play 90% of the time no offense
and i also doubt you are that great of a player. If you were a great player, you would be able to do everything consistently with alot of CONFIDENCE. You do bad in pressure i'm guessing because in practice and in games you have to impress but when playing for fun you don't care. Best thing i can tell you is that you should practice pressure situations. Maby bet a little money on a pickup game you play. Not alot but enough put some pressure on you. Also always play ur best and play better players than u.

Maybe basketball isn't your true sport or calling. At some point of putting this much effort into something and not getting the results you want or should be getting you have to ask yourself is this worth it?
I do suggest that you make some adjustments in your game such a form/shooting technique and defense. If you still are notmaking any progress it may be time to try another sport.

Don't listen to tristansfate's man, keep practicing. Michael Jordan got cut from his varsity basketball team as a sophomore. And he became arguably the greatest b-baller of all time. I reccomend, however, that you don't spend 90 % of your time playing basketball. There are other more important things in life. But keep hooping it up man. Try to have fun with it.

sounds like you just have a bad impression of yourself. some people who are so pessimistic can make themselves believe they "suck" even when they don't. my girlfriend, for example, is beautiful, but she puts herself down a lot. she finally got old enough and mature enough to see her beauty. she recently got signed on by two modeling agencies.
being a good player doesn't just mean having physical talent. you need to be fully equipped with the mental game as well. if you see yourself not performing as well as you're used to, then you need to look for ways on how to improve rather than being "forced to quit".

What i don't understand is how are you a great player if you suck in practice and games???........When you play against others that's when you're judged if you're good, bad, great or even passable........Shooting hoops in your back yard doesn't make you great............Please say, in what type of playing are you great........I'm not trying to down you in any way, but the question isn't making that clear...........CAT

Drake was just put in the commercial to be provocative which would just add more hype to the debate. Any team without a title is automatically out of the discussion but those old Mavericks teams were better than the one that actually won it all. EDIT Bulls best team ever.

A couple of good games should boost your confidence. Play smart, but don't play like your trying to keep from making mistakes.
