The debacle with steroids (Congressional investigation, Giambi's or others who admitted they were "juiced"), the Bonds ball going to the hall with an asterisk; the stupid rule that says if the wild card winner cannot play their division winner in the first round (just a coincidence that it's usually the Red Sox/Yankees that cannot play each other). Now the latest is the World Series has a better than average chance of being snowed out. Is this guy the worst in the modern era?

The Red Sox took the AL East over the Yanks

The Yanks are out of the playoffs and in the process shut the pie holes of all the annoying Yankee fans

The Pats are amazing

So for a true Boston Native Red Sox fan life is good

Poor Cleveland hasn't won a world series since 1948 I believe. They lost 3 times since then in '54 '95 and '97. If they do get by the Sox ,which isn't likely, they deserve another shot at the crown.

Down 2 games to 1 is nothing for a Red Sox fan. I still believe. Either way it's good to be a Red Sox fan.

Did I mention the Yanks are out of it?

Maybe it's because we've cared about the Indians through thick and thin, not just when they're on top.
Go Tribe!!!

I noticed a lot of you have jumped back three years ago in time and are now using the excuse that being down 2-1 is nothing, because your team came back 3-0. Two questions:

#1 - How come Yankee fans can't bring up the past, when 2004 is every bit as much of the past as 2000, 1978, 86 years, etc?

#2 - And what makes you think a Cleveland Indians team THIS good is going to simply choke?

That's right! The Boston Dead C0x infest Great American Ballpark.

I just got the tentative 2008 Cincinnati Reds schedule in the mail today. It surprised me that they don't play the Cubs until May and the Cardinals until June (same homestand as Boston)!

The season starts March 31 (ESPN game on the 30th) and will end September 28(? They only sent the home schedule, so I'm assuming.)

Cleveland fans, see you May 16-18. Interestingly enough, that's the only 2 AL series at home this season.

D'Back, now that you're out of the playoffs, see you Opening Day versus Dusty Baker!

Last time I went to an Angel game, I was talking with an usher and he told me fans of visiting clubs were, for the most part, well behaved, but that Red Sox fans tended to be a bit more obnoxious than other team's fans. I would have thought Yankee fans would be the most obnoxious. Any thoughts?

I mean, seriously. A smiling red "Indian" face!?! I despise the Red Sox, but I can't bring myself to root for a team with that logo. Everytime I look at it, I cringe.

k. bottom line, the rockies are rolling right now. winning 21of the last 22 games, undefeated in the postseason and they have an offense that wont quit scoring runs. No matter who you face out fo the AL the red sox sem liek the onyl team ot stand a chance only because of their set up and closer.

He provided a lot of great memories for Clevelanders when he played for the Tribe. Just because he accepted a better job offer isn't any reason to hate the guy. In fact, most Clevelanders probably wouldn't mind having him back. The Sox fans cheered for Trot Nixon the other night, even though he now plays for the Indians. Why can't Clevelanders do the same?

Their stadium holds at least 9000 less now. Plus they just added more seats two or three years ago.

I just want to say how proud I am to be a native and have loved this team for 14 years now. I admit my attention wasn't always there for them, but, for some reason I was really drawn to tthem fro the season's start... I have been to about 12 games this year... Winning and Losing... But, never have I been more proud to say I am a Colorado Roclies Fan... They have provided a sense of "rolemodelship" throughout our sommunity, no DUI's, no Baby's Mama Drama, no cussing, hitting bike riders, nothing like that... Just sincere appriciation to play in Colorado for the Rockies. I think that out fans have been great... Kept composure and sp[irits high, no trash throwing or fights, or street chaos... I just love saying that I am from Colorado, and I am a Rockies Fan... I wish them the best of luck going into the send of this long played series, they have fought hard... and win or lose they deserve every moment and every opportunity that some from this great year of Old Fashioned, hard played ball
