I just want to say how proud I am to be a native and have loved this team for 14 years now. I admit my attention wasn't always there for them, but, for some reason I was really drawn to tthem fro the season's start... I have been to about 12 games this year... Winning and Losing... But, never have I been more proud to say I am a Colorado Roclies Fan... They have provided a sense of "rolemodelship" throughout our sommunity, no DUI's, no Baby's Mama Drama, no cussing, hitting bike riders, nothing like that... Just sincere appriciation to play in Colorado for the Rockies. I think that out fans have been great... Kept composure and sp[irits high, no trash throwing or fights, or street chaos... I just love saying that I am from Colorado, and I am a Rockies Fan... I wish them the best of luck going into the send of this long played series, they have fought hard... and win or lose they deserve every moment and every opportunity that some from this great year of Old Fashioned, hard played ball

Well I never really watched the rockies before the tiebraker game and boy was i impressed. they have some really good young players, who can field, hit, pitch and make it all look so easy. I have been hooked now and have watched all the games. The Rockies are on a unbeliavble roll and it coudl not have happened at a better time. So happy for them. They deserve this. They are playing the best post-season baseball I have seen in a long time. GO ROCKIES!

Spoken like a TRUE Colorado Rockies fan! I couldn't agree more with you! I have been a Rockies fan my entire life (I'm 16) so this has been super exciting for me! I admit...before this year, I guess I was a fair weather fan....but now I bleed purple like crazy! This year has been full of surprises and I still cannot believe what is happening...I knew the Rockies could go to the World Series at the beginning of the year. I remember first thinking how probable it was that the Rocks would go to the World Series and I had a great gut feeling about it....Well, my gut feelings have never been wrong so far this year!
And you're right again about the players not being as dramatic as players in the bigger clubs. That's what comes from a christian clubhouse...I love it that they banned all explicit things from the Rockies clubhouse and I know for a fact that it has made the players better in all aspects of their lives. They have become better players...better husbands...and better fathers. Even the rookies are thriving on this environment! Just look at Jimenez, Morales, and Tulowitzki...they're all absolutely fantastic guys and the fact that they're doing so well as rookies absolutely astounds me. The staff of the Rockies are doing such a great job with these young players in player development....
I honestly have no clue what baseball team I'd root for if I didn't have the Rockies. It just goes to show...Colorado is NOT a place to be overlooked!
I wish ALL the players the best of luck during the World Series and I'm praying they will win it!
GO ROCKIES!!!!!!!!

I am proud they are representing the NL West, which seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to proper analysis. Since we are west-coasters, rarely are our highlights shown on ESPN or reported in depth in the media. Now, I have to mention I am a life-long Padres fan, but hold no ill-will or ire toward the Rockies for beating us in what many call a controversial call at the plate...that game had many other controversial calls (like the home run that was ruled still in play).

I'm all about good baseball and the Rockies definitely have a solid team on and off the field. Quality guys like Helton go a long way for the organization and the community. The Rockies are playing the best team baseball as we speak. I look forward to seeing them take home their 1st World Series Championship and getting the credit they and the NL West deserve. Go Rockies!

well that is good but not every team has drama. The Cleveland Indians have one of the classiest and cleanest teams in baseball. Or did you miss Grady Sizemore on the cover of SI this year? He could be the poster child of clean baseball living and the guy gives 150% on every play. In any event, that's good that you feel proud of your team. No one really hears about the Rockies and if the Tribe were not in it I would be happy for you totally but if the Indians come up against the Rockies I am going to root like hell that my Tribe bash Colorado's brains all over the Denver landscape. Then I will post to tell the world in a huge bold and proud proclamation how I have adored the Tribe for years, suffered through the agony of previous championship defeats and am now top of the mountain, courtesy of that Rocky Mountain high.

It is nice to see the fans give support to a team that has been down and is now having a great year, the team deserves it. The true test will come next year, and beyond, when the fans will have an opportunity to continue to support their team or go back into hiding.

I know, we have a good, homespun team that we can be proud of in every regard. No scandals here like we have from the Broncos...they're good guys! I'm proud of them, and I can't begin to imagine what it must feel like for them! I hope everyone's wearing purple, it's Colorado Rockies Purple Tuesday!
