What do you call it when its bottom of the ninth, its a tie on the scoreboard 7th and final game of the WORLD SERIES ,the batter is up to plate and already has 2 strikes,3 balls and the bases are full ? is this scenario ever happened before in baseball history?

It seems to me all he does is state what all baseball fans already know. He waffles more than your local waffle house. Tonight he was all but giving the Red Sox the series, when during the ALCS, he gave the series to the Indians, but during the ALDS, even though the Indians were up 2 games to 1, he kept riding the Yankees coattails saying the Evil Empire will prevail. Can we please have a series without McCarver?

Will Bud Selig and FOX force Red Sox to put some players on injured reserve and call some players from AAA?

May be they should hire some people to do some streaking in the outfield?

Otherwise this thing will be over in 5 games tops and FOX loses a lot of money

Did they buy their team or won fair and square?

Could a case be made for them for being one of the greatest teams of all time?

Had it not been for the 1994 strike, would they have won a third straight title?

Who could have stopped them with this lineup:

Rickey Henderson LF
Devon White CF
Roberto Alomar 2B
John Olerud 1B
Paul Molitor DH
Joe Carter RF
Tony Fernandez SS
Pat Borders C
Ed Sprague 3B

1. I know it's only game one, but does anyone give the Rockies a snowball's chance in hell to win the series?

2. When the Red Sox were up 13-1 after the 5th inning, why not take Beckett out right then (or even earlier) so he's fresher for game 4 (which means he could pitch game 7 if the series goes that deep)? Or do they just figure that Beckett will pitch game 5?

Have there been cases of good major league players who come out of retirement and put up decent numbers? Would the return of Jose Canseco, Nolan Ryan, Fafael Palmeiro, Will Clark, Mark McGwire or Cal Ripken sell tickets?

That the Red Sox can play Lowell, Ortiz and Youlk, all they have to do is play Youlk in right and sit Drew

As a Sox fan, I believed they would win Game 1. Beckett is a phenomenal pitcher, and the Sox have been hitting VERY well their last few. But it is currently 6-1, and the bases were empty @ 2 outs. I didn't expect this greatness. Did you?

Wrigley field HOWEVER is class it has bricks, ivy, wriglyville, bleachers, centerfield scoreboard, that red thing in the front, grandstand, and waveland and addison. But i still want to hear your resecptive arguements

Here it is

someone said in baseball, you dont focus on bashing other teams, you focus on rooting for your team. I think it was Richard C. or someone else, if it was you tell me, but dont lie! Anyway do u agree with this, dont just agree to get best answer! Also, this statements reminds me of someone like Yankeefan guy who almost retired, or Craig, but the guy who bashes others is Georgie Porgie

In past World Series I have watched on television, I have always watched the first game on a Saturday. The 2007 World Series is tonight, Wednesday, October 24th at 8:00 PM and the first game of the World Series is on a Saturday Night.

Why is the 2007 World Series starting on a Wednesday Night instead of a Saturday Night.
