Are you kidding, he has a long way to go, he is only like 27, I guarantee if he retired after this season he would not be in the hall of fame. Besides before this season, he wasnt even really that know as a dominant #1, he has really established himself this season, but he wouldnt get in the hall just based off what hes done so far.

The Hall of fame is for players that dominate the game for a long time. Winning a couple of playoff games dosen't put you in the Hall of Fame. He needs at least 5 more years of dominating the league. World Series/ Championsips don't carry the same clout as they do in other sports.

He's only pitched 6 seasons. You don't get into the HoF with just six seasons under your belt. If he keeps pitching this well for another 10 years, then, yes, he is absolutely HoF material.

One good season and all of a sudden he's a potential hall of famer?

How about we talk about this in like 8 years.

1 great year does not get you in. Orel Hershiser was amazing in 1988, won the Cy Young, and helped the Dodgers win it all, yet he got 1% HOF votes and was knocked off the ballot.

At 27 years old and only 77 career wins he isn't there yet. However, his postseason performances will get him there if he makes it to 200 wins and can keep his career era below 4.3-4.4.
