What's your team?

Yes, this is possible, because on a dropped third strike the strikeout counts regarless if the runner is safe or out. To clarify, has one pitcher gotten 4 strikeouts in one half inning.

Every time I go to Giants games the fans seem to leave around the 5th inning, even in close games. I went to a game last week and my section went from packed to 12 people by the 8th inning (honestly, I counted) ...The A's may draw less fans and have a real crappy stadium but the fans seem much more into the game and stick around to the end. What about other teams?

No outs runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hard hit ball in the hole, SS ranges right and picks up ball, runner from third breaks for the plate, ss throws to the plate, runner slides head first, catcher drops ball in collision and runner is safe at the plate. Batter is safe at first. NOTE Batter might have been safe had the ss thrown to first. Is this a hit or a fielder choice even though no out was genertaed at home? how do you score this for the batter.

What is your take on MLB changing the intentional walk rule? I think if they want to walk a batter just have the pitcher throw 1 intentional ball. After that the runner automatically gets awarded first base. Some people will argue no because it adds to the pitch count or my get a past ball but, I highly doubt pitcher is putting much into an intentional ball. I think it will speed the game up a little......What do you all think?

I've heard it was 4, but i'm not sure.

If someone knew who did it, when, and how many that'd be great.

He's getting rocked again tonight by the Mariners. He's now 3-2 with an era of 5.45.

I must say I'm not surprise considering he's no longer in Japan and is pitching against real hitters.

He's just another Chan Ho Park and Hideo Nomo. Can you say 101 million down the "washiki"! ( That's toilet )

How do they decide who wins and who loses in a baseball game? A lot of the time the starter who's pitched over 6 innings doesn't get the win and a closer who pitched 1 inning does. Or a starter who went through 8 but then the closer pitched for 9, 10, and 11( extra innings ) gets the win. How do they decide who is the winner (and loser)?

Does anyone feel that his stats should have an asterick beside them if he only pitches half a season? Here's my point. He's already up there with histories greatest pitchers for a lot of stats. ERA, K's, etc. If he is always pitching fresh and only half a season, he should pitch well and get ever better stats. Whereas, most pitchers going the full season get fatigued and their stats lower a little. For instance, his ERA is currently 3.10. If he only pitches 100 innings this year and has a great ERA, it could lower his career ERA substancially. Not too fair for the guys grinding it out all season.
