That is a tough play to imagine. That means the shortstop throws the ball to the first baseman for one out, then the first baseman throws to the second baseman for the second out of the double play.
You may mean "What is the 6-4-3 double play?" That is a ground ball to the shortstop, a toss to the second baseman forcing out the runner from first; and then a throw to the first baseman to put out the batter/runner.
Whenever you see write-ups like these, keep in mind each position in baseball is assigned a number.
Pitcher =1 Catcher =2 First Base = 3 Second Base =4 Third Base =5 Shortstop =6 Left Field =7 Center Field =8 Right Field =9
If you see this: 5-3 that means the thirdbaseman threw out the batter/runner at first base after fielding a ground ball. The dash between the numbers signifies a throw was made, no matter how far the throw actually was.
If you see this: F-9 that means a flyball was caught by the right fielder putting the batter out.
If you see this: U-3 that means the first baseman fielded a ground ball and put out the batter/runner by themselves without any throws.
If you see this: E-6 that means the shortstop made an error on a fielding attempt and the batter/runner was safe at first base.
Each time a throw is made that leads to an out credits that player with an assist.

Every position is represented by a number for a score card 1. pitcher 2. catcher 3. 1st baseman 4. 2nd baseman 5. 3rd baseman 6. shortstop 7. left field 8. center 9. right 5 3 6 would be whatever chronological order the play goes from. And are you sure it wasnt 4 6 3 or 5 4 3? because that would be a more standard double play, otherwise that would be something like getting a groundout to third, thrown out at 1st, and a player on 2nd base getting thrown out...

The number represent positions on the field. Each position is designated in the score books by a number. The numbers represent the order in which the double play was commited. Same goes for errors (ex. E-6 means error on the shortstop). 6-3-4 would mean the double play started with the shortstop, he went to the first baseman, who in turn went to the second baseman.

usually its a 6-4-3 double play rather than a 6-3-4 double play but we know what you mean. each position is given a position number. pitcher 1, catcher 2, 1st 3, 2nd 3, 3rd 5, SS 6, LF 7, CF 8, RF 9. so when the ball is hit, they record the out in the order that the defense touches the ball. ex...ball hit off pitcher and fielded by the first baseman for an out at first. thats a 1-3 out. hope this helps

When you think of baseball the first thing that pops into your head sure isn't numbers but the numbers stand for each position.
1. Pitcher
2.Catcher
3.1st Baseman
4. 2nd Baseman
5.3rd Baseman
6. Shotstop
7.Left Field
8. Center field
9. Right Field
So in that case the shortstop(6) throws it to the first baseman(3) who throws it to the 2nd Baseman(4)

it means the shortstop gets it throws it to the first baseman and then he throws it to the second baseman. Each player is assigned a number for scoring. 1 is the pitcher 2 is the catcher and so on. But 6 is the shortstop and 5 is the third baseman

not sure if im right, but it has to do with position...
i think it goes like...
#1 - pitcher
#2 - batcatcher
#3 - first
#4 - shortstop
#5 - second
#6 - third
and so forth
so 6-4-3 would be from 3rd baseman to the SS to 1st baseman..
i think i may have the positions mixed up, but that would be the general idea

left-7

In you scenario it went from short to first and back to 2nd for the dp. But you probably meant 6-4-3 which meand SS to 2nd to First
