My choice would have to be King Felix after watching him dominate the BoSox last night.

How can a pitcher pitch 6-7 innings with no runs and not get the save when his team wins the game? Verlander pitched for the Tigers against Baltimore on Wednesday and after 6 or 7 innings when they changed pitchers the score was tied 0-0, and stayed that way til the 12th inning when the tigers got a grand slam. Why didn't Verlander get a win for that game?

Check out the numbers. They are amazing for a shortstop. Any reason that his name is not even mentioned?

The Red Sox have one of the top 3 lineups in the AL and it was amazing how he was just mowing through those guys. Now that the M's are allowing him to throw that nasty slider I think he will continue to take the league by storm.

As far as I know it's never the case that one person owns a team. Is Steinbrenner the sole owner or are there other people as well. If you what percentage of the team does her own?

Thanks

What are your favorite baseball player nicknames? And do you have suggestions for new ones or maybe a nickname for a player on your team that didn't make it national?

My all-time favorite is probably Teddy Ballgame. It left nothing to the imagination, it told the whole story.

Also, one that I can't believe didn't catch on was Craig Biggio "Pigpen". They guy is always dirty.

Anyhow, what do you got for me??

I live 45 minutes away from boston... so should I go to the Red Sox game now, or wait- will it be delayed? You kinda need to be in the area to judge based on the rain... thanks

They have started off the best team in baseball with a 7-1 record! There bullpen is one of the strongest, and there is no doubt about there offense and defense! I believe this is the team to beat this year and they are going to go all the way! What do ou think?

I understand that they have the largest payroll and I also understand that they always win. Here is the problem these are stupid reasons to hate the team. There are a lot of owners in baseball with lots more money than george steinbrenner. George just wants to win, and he will spend whatever is necessary to make that happen. Is it that bad of a thing to have a passion for the team that you own? The yankees have History and a passion for the game. I remember in the 80's and 90's the yankees were terrible and people still hated them. What is it about them that makes people hate the team? I am a huge Yankees fan but I ould like opinions from both sides.. best answer get points.
