What are your thoughts of letting another driver lead a lap for the 5 bonus points? Kurt Busch pulled up and let Matt Kenseth (a FORMER teammate from Roush) lead a lap during the Atlanta race on Sunday and then went right back around for the lead. Is this something you agree with or do you dissaprove? What if it's a teammate or friend?

Funny how Hendrick drivers don't mind pushing slower cars out of the way at 190 MPH, but when it happens to them at short tracks they act like 5-year olds about it.

How many times can a past champion like Dale Jarrett use the past champions provision to make races. He can't seem to qualify on time.
Surely there's a limit on using it. I had heard it was 6 times.

Given that Jeff Gordon isn't very popular, in this article:

http://www.fantasydope.com/dopefantasynews.aspx?id=4005

J.P. mentions that he "wasn't too impressed" with Gordon's driving and that Gordon's tactics "kind of screwed us". This is kind of the lost story of Atlanta and I'm wondering if J.P. will pick up a few more fans on the bandwagon...

I need great descriptions of NASCAR, especially from people who love it. Why? Do you think it's the best sport in the nation? Do you think the Northwest is missing out by not having a track?

I was wondering if it was still around or had been scrapped.

It sure is to me. I liked it several years ago when a whole bunch of drivers were winning races not just a select annoying few.

As Stewart often points out, other people may start problems, but he finishes them.

How did NASCAR call the debris caution for him to get fuel when there was no debris? And the race before, NASCAR official runs and gets his tire, but there is no penalty cause its at the end of the race.

It is my understanding that something will be done at the DEI headquarters on April 29, 2007. How do I get more info about the time, the event itself? Is it at DEI? If you know please let me know.

THANKS

I think he's really showing that he's got what it takes to make the chase. It's early, but I have a prediction that he will be in it. Do you think he'll even win the championship?

My man and I are getting married in the poconos. While, much to his disappointment, we can't get married while the Pocono 500 is going on, we're still getting married there anyway. My question is. . . while I was online researching the poconos. . . I found that they offer a nascar driving experience at the speedway. You get to drive 20 laps and get your pic taken in the car , blah blah, blah. My man is such a nascar freak that I'm thinking this would be a great wedding gift from me to him since he's got to put up with all the romantic stuff for the wedding/honeymoon. Do you think this is a good gift or should I look for something else?

Road courses, short tracks, intermediates like Atlanta and Texas, or superspeedways?

I would go with road courses as my favorite, closely followed by the superspeedways. I like the Glen and Sonoma because of all the shifting and skill needed to run them.

I think the focus for jr is more on finances than winning races. Thats understandable but he needs to choose...the office or the car.

I have read all the critics on yahoo answers.
Here is the real Deal.
It was over when Johnson outgunned, outsmarted and outmaneuvered Tony Stewart during a NASCAR version of the game “chicken” at 180-something mph down the thrilling stretch.

Oh, and you’ll find this surprising: Stewart wasn’t pleased in the aftermath. “Nobody likes to hit the wall. That’s pretty much a no-brainer, I think,” he said, sounding like his hero, A.J Foyt, when it comes to grumbling over tough losses. “I wish [Johnson] had of given me a little more room,” he said. And he went on to say that Johnson had the faster car and that he never kept his opponent from having room to race on the track.

Yeah, right. And neither Stewart nor Foyt would have done as much with the checkered flag nearly in sight.

To paraphrase Herman Edwards, YOU TRY TO WIN THE RACE.

That’s why Johnson is the only driver ever to finish in the top five in the standings during his opening five seasons. That’s why he won the title
