Yes and No... It's definately not helping anything.. But if you look back @ DEI's performance over the last 3 years.. There #'s are about the same. They have a few good runs followed by some bad runs, Over and Over again... It all boils down to this for me.. Dale Jr is right in a sense, that he thinks new ownership of the company would lead to changes in the way things are done. I think JR feels they need to put more money in certain programs and R&D when Teresa is spending them in other places. Dale needs to get something going though, but w/out ownership and change @ DEI... I think he's gotta go! Another team is the only answer. If Teresa stays in control the company may keep winding further and further into the ground. Give it to Jr and his sister.. and the same still may happen!! How many successfull owner/drivers have there been?! Very Few... VERY FEW!

Dale Jr has some serious problems, most of them stem from his relationship with his stepwitch.
He will never succeed as a driver until he has the support from his owner that he deserves. He has an average team and seems to be undercut by management.
That said, I can't say that he is distracted by the control controversy, but rather he is being held back by his team owner who just happens to be his stepwitch.
However he would be unlikely to become one of the greats with even the most supportive organization. He's just not that good.

It's a definate distraction and anything taking your mind off of winning races and the championship hurts your ability to do just that. I've been saying it for awhile, be careful what you ask for Jr., you just might get it.

For sure! He needs to concentrate on just racing, not making the decisions on pit road and really really needs to get rid of Tony Eury Jr. and his pit (at least Tony Jr) He,s a big ZERO

Yes, he needs to focus on racing and go after the company when the season ends. Unless of course, if NASCAR keeps screwing up and he doesn't make the chase. If not, then he should.

I'm personally not a HUGE #8 fan, but I really think some bad luck has come into play. I dont think the other stuff if affecting him on the track.

Yes, I think it's pretty obvious that it is having an effect. Ever since they really stareted having conflicts, which has been for a while now, he hasn't done as well.
