I was wondering if it was still around or had been scrapped.

The car was thoroughly investigated by Nascar. Then it was sent back to RCR since it was property of RCR. RCR has said that it was cut up and scrapped but they never really provided pictures of the cutting or shipment off so rumors swirl amongst some who think that there are parts left over. I seriously doubt this rumor though since they had respect for Dale as a human being and realize that keeping the car around would only serve to fuel people's morbid fascination with the crash.

Im sure RCR has completely scrapped it, still pretty bad memories tied to the car and also useless.

In 2001 for Mr. Earnhardt, Sr. He died of the crash while Kenny Schrader had tangled with him while Michael Waltrip wins.

I think that Childress Scrapped it because it would have
been a painful reminder to Childress
