My man and I are getting married in the poconos. While, much to his disappointment, we can't get married while the Pocono 500 is going on, we're still getting married there anyway. My question is. . . while I was online researching the poconos. . . I found that they offer a nascar driving experience at the speedway. You get to drive 20 laps and get your pic taken in the car , blah blah, blah. My man is such a nascar freak that I'm thinking this would be a great wedding gift from me to him since he's got to put up with all the romantic stuff for the wedding/honeymoon. Do you think this is a good gift or should I look for something else?

I can't think of anything that says "I love you" like a ticket to drive. Every time they start up the engines before a race it will take him back to the memory of your honeymoon gift. Every time you go to a race and smell the burning fuel it will remind him of your burning desire for each other and how much you really care. But really, he will think it's awesome and it should help him remember your anniversary as well.

This is probally the the best gift you could get him if he is a Nascar fan. The experience will only be the second best thing to happen to him while in the Poconos.(read last sentance with sarcasm). Go for it!

It would be an awesome gift. After all the agonizing showers and china and cutlery and household wares, he's gonna want something to get his adrenaline flowing again. There's nothing that will suck the life out of a guy like planning a wedding. And the flowers, and the cake, and reception, and the mother-in-law-to-be, and the photog, and the crying.
Yes, this is the epitome of a gift. I got an 8-lap experience for Christmas one year and it was more than enough.

I think you would have your man for life. I am an avid Nascar fan and a gift like that comes once in a lifetime. You're going to be a very good wife!

I can relate to your "husband to be ", beacuase I share the same paaion with him ...and a thousand others. Had my wife given me a gift like that,I would remember it for the rest of my life!!! If you think he'll like it, then yes, it is an excellent idea for a gift. You might as well spend your money on something he will enjoy and use. No use spending money on something that will sit in a drawer and collect dust.
