As fans, we've seen just how "clear as mud" NA$CAR's rules can be. Especially since we can't run out and buy the rulebook like we can for every other sport that's out there. NA$CAR says we can't but it because of trade secrets that are in the rulebook. Anyways, if their contract rules are as "grey" and subject to interpretation as the car rules are, it's no wonder things are messed up with sponsors coming into the series or changing their brand names. But, there is an up side to this. NA$CAR will have to release some of their "trade secret" information and probably have to open their ledgers in order to prove their case. This could get very interesting indeed. It seems like every time NA$CAR is threatened with having to open its' books and expose some of their "trade secrets", they settle out of court.

I DESPISE Montoya! He is 100 times too aggressive for a rookie! As an avid Jimmie Johnson fan, I guess I can't talk; Jimmie can be a bit aggressive as well. However, drivers like Jimmie and Dale, Jr. know how to show some respect! What do y'all think of Montoya?

when adam petty and many others died nothing was made about it but as soon as earnhardt died it was a big deal. i think that is wrong!!!! that it took dale's death to realize that the sport wasn't safe enough. but they didn't see it when others died.

2007-07-14 20:28:38 · 19 answers · asked by Dmel 4

Here are the stats from Jayski.com.

Gordon vs Petty before 30 years of age: Jeff Gordon, who turned 30 Saturday, has 56 career victories — 55(in 277 starts) before the age of 30. Richard Petty had 56(in 332 starts) career wins before the age of 30(USA Today). Petty had one Winston Cup Championship before the age of 30 and won it in 1967 when he turned 30. Gordon had 3 championships before 30 and is currently leading the points. Dale Earnhardt had 8 wins and one Championship before he turned 30 in 1981(8-7-2001).

But im sure there will be someone who says he suxs. LOL

You know, to all you people who answered my friend's (nascarfan31) question about RCR having the best of team mates, just because you disagree or aren't a fan of RCR doesn't give you the right to go in there and talk as rudely or as mean as you can trying to tick RCR fans off. Thats just wrong.
My friend who posted that question has NEVER put down a driver or team in this section. There's no need for you to do the same, about her favorite team. Those of you who answered that question with nothing but negative remarks about RCR are disgrace to NASCAR, you show NO RESPECT in this place. This is supposed to be a friendly and happy place to answer questions related to NASCAR, not a place to see who can cut down what team or driver the best. I hate to see the way you treat your friends and family.
GO RCR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those who answered that question nicely, thank you very much for that.

Has anyone ever sent anything to a driver to be autographed? I have a diecast car of Harvicks white rookie car and was thinking of sending it to get it signed. It says on his site that it will take a while to get it back, just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

Which drivers car would you say has the best paint scheme, sponsor logo, colors or what not.

I like Hamlins and Bowyers because they are mostly black, and the car isnt overloaded with graphics like Gordons and some others.

Seems Budweiser going to Hendricks was never a possiblility. They ended their past relationship badly and there was no posiblility of Bud sponsering Jr. at Hendricks. When Jr. left DEI I was among the Teresa bashers but in retrospect perhaps Teresa did what was best for Dale's company. Now that the picture is painted how do you feel about Jr. dumping DEI, Budweiser, driving for Pepsico and joining Hendrick? I am not a Johnny come lately or fair weather fan. I have been a ravenous Earnhardt fan since '84 and I still have Jr's ACDelco fan club shirt in my dresser. I feel completely betrayed by the situation now. What do you think?

Dale Jr. fans only please. If you are not a DJ fan I'm not looking for your input.

What's the obsession with trolls on this board? I don't like them either, they piss me off....but really, who cares? There are trolls on every board on Y!A. Worse than here, I might add.
The reason they are here, is because people actually are enraged enough to answer their stupid questions. They feed off of this. You guys need to just understand - if you want them gone, you need to stop acting like you care, and stop answering their questions, and stop reacting to their answers. If they don't get a reaction, they aren't having any fun seeing everyone get pissed off, and they stop posting. It really is as simple as that.
When I see the posts, or inappropriate answers, I report them and be done with it. Posting something in response to one of their idiotic questions or answers just makes us as bad as them.
Please guys...don't let them get to you...you're playing right into their hands.

My friends are telling me that he may be on a great run this year, and may even win his 1st Cup race and contend for the championship, but in a year or two he'll just fall off and be one of those drivers who won't be running up front anymore, won't be winning races, and possibly not even making a few races. I'm upset right now, because a couple friends of mine were telling me he's never going to go anywhere in NASCAR as a driver. In fact, they say their isn't many younger drivers today that will advance in their career, and Bowyer was one of them.

Can I get some opinions on this?
