What's the obsession with trolls on this board? I don't like them either, they piss me off....but really, who cares? There are trolls on every board on Y!A. Worse than here, I might add.
The reason they are here, is because people actually are enraged enough to answer their stupid questions. They feed off of this. You guys need to just understand - if you want them gone, you need to stop acting like you care, and stop answering their questions, and stop reacting to their answers. If they don't get a reaction, they aren't having any fun seeing everyone get pissed off, and they stop posting. It really is as simple as that.
When I see the posts, or inappropriate answers, I report them and be done with it. Posting something in response to one of their idiotic questions or answers just makes us as bad as them.
Please guys...don't let them get to you...you're playing right into their hands.

LOL to nascar31..actually, I have no way of knowing that people know this - I recall several questions regarding trolls and how to get rid of them, including a recently asked question about how long does it take Yahoo to get rid of the trolls........was that not doing the same thing then? Interesting logic.
And buschwhacked? Touche...to a degree. It's just a topic I felt the need to comment on. Asking a question regarding the existence of trolls and posters' reaction to them doesn't mean I condone them, or am 'advertising' for them.
It's not exactly a secret that they're out there folks...

I don't hardly ever answer these questions because they are usually posted BY the trolls to bring attention to themselves. You have obviously seen them all over but they they have found an environment where they can flourish in the NASCAR forum. As long as people feed into this crap and try to defend NASCAR on the gay questions and other obvious non racing questions posted solely for inciting people, the trolls will get what they are looking for. I've come to the realization that it's not going to get better until school starts and there's no use in getting too worked up about some bored kids on their summer vacation. When I was a kid we went to the pool, played baseball and rode our bikes all over. I guess it's a new era of video games and hanging out on the computer for today's youth. I agree totally with your take on this situation but several posters in here feel the need to keep giving them the attention they want.

That was a question in the past, now we need to move on, and like you said we need to ignore them and quit posting questions about them! I agree.They are not getting attention anywhere else in life so they come on here.Think about it,why else would they?Any adult minded person would not ask stupid questions.I call them a waste of space,not trolls.
