If in heaven, I have no desire or ability to do evil or make bad choices isn't my self completely destroyed as I now know it? Do I not cease to be?

I heard constantine messed up the calendar or something so I was wandering exactly how many years ago Jesus died on the cross. Jesus said he would come back on the third day and a thousand years in heaven is as on day on earth. Are we entering the third day yet?

I went to Korea (for the third time) last year to visit a friend. Everywhere, there were pictures of Jesus on restaurants, and street vendors selling cheap necklaces with the cross on them. There was practically a church on every corner (OK, I know I'm exaggerting, but still).

I don't have anything against Christianity, but this angers me. Shouldn't the Koreans at least try preserve their indigenous rituals and culture? Why are Asian countries becoming more and more westernized?

My mom went into the Dr. the other day complaining of stomach cramps. A hospital stay and lots of tests later they found a mass on her pancreas and spots on her liver. Theyre going to get the results of whether it's cancerous or not soon. I pray to God it isn't, you dont know how hard i pray. I didnt ever used to pray, but when shoved face to face with a life threatening illness, you start to. You start to hope, and pray, and wish, and try to make bargins with God. Ill do this or this if you just let her live till old age. Id do anything for her...Anything if it just meant that she would get better. Id take her place if i could.
Everyone takes their parents for granted, including me, and i feel like crap for doing so. I used to get so upset with her for trival things, now it doesn't matter. It should of never mattered, i was just to selfish and to big of a ***** to realize it. I dont want to lose her like this. A mom is supposed to help plan your wedding, help decorate your house, and help name your grandchildren, and make life just a little more difficult in between.
All i can think about now is going home and taking care of my family, not study stupid chemistry! If i could i would withdraw from all my classes and start at henry ford next semester, or wayne state or whereever, it wouldnt matter as long as i was close to home.
Look up Pancreatic cancer and see what you find, and tell me you wouldnt be scared too.
So i guess the point to this note was to ask anyone reading it please put my mother in your thoughts. Say a prayer, make a wish, do anything. I dont care if youre not religious, i wasnt really untill now. Ill do anything for a miracle. Please

I found many questions that instead of encouraging people to know about ISLAM, make them hate it.
Can we please focus? Our target isn't to scare people from us, it is to make them love us.Right?

Most muslims i meet come from Pakistan. They tell me how great islam is and how much better life would be for everyone if everyone was muslim. At first i thought it would be worth a try, but when i look at pakistan i realised that it seems pretty horrible, which is why they came here in the first place, therefore negating everything they told me about islam.

Obviously christians will answer No to this question so I guess it's kind of rhetorical. Or maybe it's just a pondering.

The reason i ask is, if you can't sin in heaven is it because God takes away the sinful nature or because God takes away free will?

If it's because the sinful nature is gone then why wouldn't God just remove the sinful nature on earth instead of wiping them out in a flood? Or sending them to hell for eternity?

I'm sure christians don't believe that free will is gone in heaven, but wouldn't that mean that you could still choose to commit sin if you wanted? Of course the cop-out for this is to say that you wouldn't "want" to commit sin in heaven. But that's like saying that every time you sin on earth it's because you "want" to and I don't think anyone would agree with that, christian or not.

Maybe the more logical answer is that there is no God or heaven.
But then again christians throughout history have never been very logical. Oh well :)

Why do good inocent people die while rapists, murders and terrible people live?

My sister's friends with a gay guy. He's really nice, so according to the bible, would he go to hell just because someone who wrote the bible is homophobic?

If you don't go to church, but you pray at home and you love God and Jesus, would you be considered a "good" Christian?

Do you believe the bible is the absolute truth or do you belive that it has imperfections because it was in fact written by humans?

I'm not trying to bash God or Jesus, but come one.
