I am curious of the many gestures known in various faiths worldwide. Can anybody of any system of belief give examples of gestures.

If you are uncertain of what I mean by 'gestures', i refer to the way the body is symbolically formed... like a silent and still dance in time.

Since the couldn't find the "missing link" to connect us with the apes, they now say WE do not come from apes BUT THAT we share a common ancestor.

And still, no transitional fossils from "OUR" ancestors have been found.

Doesn't this proof that evolution is just a big invention? Doesn't this proof that Evolution takes a lot of faith?

There is absolutely no evidence of evolution Yet it is taught in schools as fact. AND WE HAVE TO PAY TAXES FOR THIS BIG LIE.

I do not care about the Christian notion of Lucifer being a demonic name. I like the name Lucifer and I think of it more as the morning star, which is the actual meaning of the name in Latin.
But would it be mean to give my son a lovely name which has however had the misfortune of being associated with evil?

I'm hoping someone can help me out a bit here...

I'm kind of fresh to Christianity and I'm looking for a good denomination. I like Protestantism a lot and I find most of its teachings pretty much in accord with my beliefs (except when it comes to faith and reason). I'm not a big Catholic fan. I am looking around because I am so turned off by the Methodist and Episcopalian (the two churches I swing between) embrace of outright anti-Biblical values. I need a good conservative church that embraces traditional Biblical values about salvation and human sexuality (I can't believe some are actually endorsing premarital sex!). But I still want to retain the tradition and liturgy of Anglicanism. I've heard two suggestions: Greek Orthodox and Lutheran--Missouri Synod. I don't know much about these. Can anyone help? What denomination are you?

What is the best way to get your book published. Mine would be a mix of physical child abuse, blue collar work, recovering from years gone by Catholicism along with fundamental traditional Christian eternal damnation worship, carpet bagger creed discrimination and worker abuse along with a special sacred devoted marriage that got us through it all and formed a bond to make Forgive Affirmed Spirit a new religion.

It says that in a couple of the Gospels. I'd have to look it up to say where. I was wondering who this is referring to. If he has two names, what are they?

PLEASE, NO REFERENCE TO SEX IN YOUR ANSWERS!

Here's a definition for starters:

Q: What is Atheism?
A: Atheism is defined as the lack of belief in gods or deities ("a" = without, "theism" = belief in gods or deities). A common misconception is that Atheists believe that gods or deities do not exist. While some Atheists do share this belief (called "antitheism"), not all Atheists do and it is not a defining belief of Atheism.

With this definition in mind, what quesiton would you ask an Atheist? What would you want to know about that person or their beliefs?

I’ve heard Jewish people call him Yahweh (from Hebrew YHWH).

I know Muslims call him Allah.

But other than Jehovah's Witnesses, the only way I’ve ever heard Christians refer to him as, is “God,” “Lord,” or “Father” - all of which are titles, not names.

Exodus 34:14 says that his name is “Jealous.” From the Christian viewpoint, is this his proper name? Is it something else? Is he nameless?

What does the Church believe about salvation? Do only fully-babtized Catholics go to heaven? What about the other Christians? What happens if a Catholic doesn't confess their (mortal) sins before death?

Anything else about what the Catholic Church believes about salvation?

Thanks
God Bless

My man and I went to Chinese Food tonight and our fortunes were not only NOT fortunes, they were like vague, obscure STATEMENTS.
Mine said "Dare to dream, hope, believe, seek, feel, find, and love."
My man's said "Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your undersanding."
THESE ARE NOT FORTUES!! What is UP with the fortune cookie makers???
