Many believers will say, "It is impossible for you to prove that God (Allah, Ra, Vishnu, whatever) does not exist. There is no way to prove that something does not exist." This is a silly argument for the following reason.

Imagine that we have a conversation one day and I say to you, "I believe in the gerflagenflopple. You cannot prove that the gerflagenflopple does not exist, therefore it exists." You can see that this is ridiculous. Just because I have invented something out of thin air does not mean that its non-existence is suddenly unprovable. There has to be some evidence that the gerflagenflopple exists in order to assert its existence. Since there is not, it is quite easy to say that the gerflagenflopple is imaginary.

Now let's imagine that we have a conversation one day and I say to you, "I believe in Leprechauns. You cannot prove that Leprechauns do not exist, therefore they exist." You actually have heard of Leprechauns. There are lots of books, movies and fairy tales dealing with Leprechauns. People talk about Leprechauns all the time. Leprechauns even have a popular brand of breakfast cereal. But that does not mean that Leprechauns exist. There is no physical evidence for the existence of Leprechauns. Not a single bit. Therefore, it is obvious to any normal person that Leprechauns are imaginary.

If you think about it, you will realize that there is no difference between God and Leprechauns. Lots of people talk about God as though he exists, but there is no actual evidence for God's existence

I tried hard to be a good Christian, but I could never actually believe in God. It just doesn't make sense to me. I highly respect the idea of blind faith and I wish I had that. I have a friend who hates the idea of blind faith and thinks all Christians are ignorant. What would you say to him that doesn't fall in the lines of "just because" or "because the bible says so". I do believe a God could exist with the current science theories and facts, but nothing convinces me that he does. Please answer carefully, I would like good information. Maybe you could be the one to get me to believe?

Look in that painting, there are angels (I think?) in the top right hand corner that have a head and wings, but no visible body. Does anyone know what this type of angel is called? Are they even angels? Do they even have a specific name?

I once was with a guy who was a mormon and went to his church "ONCE".I did not get it......don't understand how they could write their own bible.......and how they believe people go to heaven in on different levels?? Aren't people who love christ the same?? How could they believe in the men having several wives??? Which some are still doing. I mean no disrespect to mormons,i just don't understand it.

we all know that both the bible and the quran were written by men who wrote the books the way they wanted to,why cant people just learn to get along we all know what happened in the middle ages with the catholics and the protastants why cant muslims see there holy war can never be won they would have to kill all none believers and that will never happen there will never be world peace until religeon is left to the individuales and kept behind closed doors were it belongs,Im not saying no to religeon but we should all take a step back before religeon destroys this world.
