So let's say Satan is the reason for all temptation in this world, and therefore being the reason for all the sin in this world.

Next let's say that God created all angels, including Satan.

Then let's say God is all knowing and all seeing, this would include the future.

Okay, now let's say God created Satan, knowing he would be the reason for all of the temptations in this world, and therefore all the sin.

This means that God created all of the sin in the world.

Now the reason he did this was to let us have a choice to love him, even though billions have suffered, families have been ruined, women raped, babies killed, etc. etc.

Maybe free will isn't everything it's cracked up to be, but God already knew this and gave us a choice any way, and now the only way back to "happy land" is to love God and obey him with all of your heart.

.....

Or maybe God's a bit of a dick, who knows.

Every good work of fiction needs someone to play the antihero...

Lets examine the response above mine. She states: "Satan was the most beautiful angel that god had created, but one day Satan or Lucifer did not obey gods order." I ask: How can Satan have been the MOST BEAUTIFUL when he was in Heaven - a place of perfection? How can anythihng be better or more anything than anything else in a perfect place? Furthermore, If God created a perfect Heaven, Satan would never need to rebel against God - nowr would he even possess the ability to do so, because he would be in a place of perfection. So, either Heaven isnt perfection, or God is responsible for ALL EVIL, or He doesnt exist.

According to the Bible, for a time Satan was a perfect creature which means that there was not evil in him. But then he became arrogant and wanted to received worship from humans. It was then when he rebel against God. Read Genesis. This is so simple to understand, For example a person is not born being a murderer or a terrorism, it is later in life that he choose to be like that. So God did not created him as an evil creature, it was Satan that later choose to follow such path. Every creature has free will, so you choose to be a righteous one or a wicked one. It is that simple

God created Lucifer...Lucifer rebelled and as a result became Satan...even though he rebelled and in a way caused us to fall, it was all apart of the plan. Everything that happens even if its bad is always apart of the plan...because God has a way of making it right again. The Lord didn't create sin but He knew it would happen so by Satan rebelling Jesus had the chance to make everything right and prove Gods character. He died for our sins and proved Gods love for everyone to see...so His character can never be questioned again...and so sin would never happen again, because sin got started by Satan questioning God. Now the whole universe can be reunited in him

God wanted Satan to help him create the world and care for the people and animals in it, but the power went to his head and Satan turned away from God and he wants to turn all of creation against God too. He was the most powerful angel God created and he turned his back on his creater.

God created a perfect spirit creature with free will. Satan became Satan when he opposed God..

The word "devil" means someone who tells wicked lies about another person. "Satan" means an enemy or an opposer. These are terms given to God's chief enemy. At first, he was a perfect angel in heaven with God. However, he later thought too much of himself and wanted the worship that rightly belongs to God.—Matthew 4:8-10.

God created Lucifer, a beautiful angel who was the leader of the choir in heaven. Lucifer was just under God and Jesus, and loved the way the angels respected him and allowed pride to harbour within his heart. He looked at Jesus and couldnt figure out why He was allowed to have a higher positition than him and lusted after the power He had as the Son of God. So Lucifer became jealous of God and wished to exalt his throne above his and tried to make war against God and His government of love. Lucifer was then cast out of heaven and lost his position, then his name was changed from Lucifer to Satan, because sin had entered into his heart and he no longer was the wonderful angel that he was. So you see the Lord didnt make Satan who he is, but Lucifer allowed sin to enter his heart and was tainted and changed by that sin and became Satan.

Lucifer was the top angel, he would lead God's praises...as I understand. He caught an attitude and got jealous, got a third of the angels to follow him and wanted to overthrow God. God sensed this, changed his name to satan, then threw him and the bad angels out of heaven. satan forgot that he wasn't a god, but only a created being.
