If you do, I'd like to know why without being told that we just don't know, but we have to trust.
Do you really believe that "God" whom supposedly loves us would want that for any of us?

Shoot or Sue. Whatever.....

Point being, since the religious nuts are so intent on forcing their narrow-minded mythology on society, don't I, as a concerned citizen have a right to fight their attempt to overthrow democracy and free thought?

bombin' on this b!tches taking our faith as a joke.. i didn't get a single proof that God exists at the age i got curious.. the curiousity itself grew in me.. i was just followin' up, became an atheist, and followed up willingly.. that's my business.. this site is revealing some dirt of humanity which is taking others as a joke.. i could give a sh!t if you're not convinced.. no one could reach me and honestly that's your job to decide, find out, not making a fool of yourself and by that i don't mean wasting your life away.. i could go for a while contradicting your contradictions.. if you don't get it, let it go.. you want attention, you got one..

how can it be that ppl call themselves christians and men of god, wen it is the christian that beats me down for my beliefs, they think that their way is alwyas right, when i feel it is wrong, why do so called christians condem those who don't believe in a superior being as they do, they are quick to judge but not quick enough to judge themselves, go to church and say forgive me of my sins but spit in the face of a nonbeliever. the bible is the most widely bought book in the history of the world and i hav no idea how the work of a man could brainwash an entire universe? u scream to the heavens praise god and i scream to the people anarchy shall rule but i am the sinner...judge me now for it's the only judgement i'll hav to take in this life or the next one...be glad to share ur thoughts on this one!

Someone here answered the following:
" The American Civil Liberties Union is legally active group which defends your basic rights under the constitution - they will defend your right to free speech even if no one wants to hear it and also your right to the freedom from religion in the classroom (keeping creationism out of the classroom). If the law is on your side, they will help you, often for free."

Wow!
1) Right to Free speech and...........
2) Freedom FROM religion in the same paragraph. What about the rights of the religious?
A contradiction. Shouldn't freedom of speech include freedom OF religion? Not, Freedom FROM it?????????????
Bad, bad ACLU !!!!!!!!!!

Not to be confused with Paul's writings. I'm talking about writings from Roman diplomats or others.

hasn't even been celebrated?

For the majority of the 2000 years that christianity has existed, it was considered a sin to 'celebrate' Christmas. The church (Catholic and later the Protestants) were opposed to celebrations in general. Such things were considered 'carnal' and therefore a sin.

So what exactly are you getting upset about? Considering Christmas DOMINATES American culture from Thanksgiving until December 25, where exactly do you get the nerve to complain that your holiday is under attack?

It is important that you do not confuse them.

I want to apologize to someone I've wronged, but I'm at a point where I feel like I'm having a fight between good and evil with in my self. I'm fighting myself because, the person I wronged indeed did a lot of things that hurt me very bad some of which I haven't let go. So part of me wants to stay angry with him, and hold a grudge. But the good in me wants to just apologize for my terrible deed, and forgive him and ask him to forgive me. Cause I really feel life is to short to hold pitty grudges, when we could just say, "I'm Sorry". Someone recently told me that there is freedom in forgiveness and bondage in bitterness, Please help with some advice to end the fight within myself

"Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law." -Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

"Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination." -Thomas Jefferson, Autobiography, in reference to the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom

"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity." -Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782

I know, some people spell it x-mas, but I've never heard anyone tell anyone else, MERRY X-MAS, no, of chourse not, because it is Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. And you know what? My daughter, who is 4 1/2 years old pointed out the sweetest thing to me the other day, you know what she said? Everyone gets presents on Jesus' birthday. Isn't that sweet?

There is a woman in my church that I just don't like she is very nasty and a very angry person and she is forever yelling at her kids and she is very rough around the edges.

There was a party at one of the church members home and I was asked to give her a ride with her 2 kids and she called me on my cell phone and I reluntacntly gave her a ride there along with her two kids

I was annoyed at someone in my church for giving her my cell number and when I voiced my opinion I was told as the deacons wife you need to be available and you should not have the attitude that it is not your job you would not say that to your employer.

I did apologize to all the parties involved but sometimes I get tired of having to constantly meet the needs of people who never give back. Some people in the church are like a well that never gets enough water. Have you ever had a siutaion like this happen to you? How do you learn patience in these situaions? How can I be more Christ like?

i go to church somtimes with friends and family and put on a happy face...there i appear to be a man of god but behind the scenes the idea of a god is not important to me...i don't want to disappoint anyone by telling them i believe everything is answered and is explainable through science and i am somewhat of an athiest but that is my belief...is it wrong to hide a belief to protect others feelings?
