At first I found her interesting because she was into natural medicine and so on. But since I heard about her visions I stopped investigating because I think it's scary stuff. She had visions since she was a child. At first she thought they were of satan but at 42 years of age she suddenly thought they were from God and started to write them down. Since God is almighty don't you think He can make Himself clearly understood? Wouldn't you immiadetly recognise if it was God Who's talking to you. Her story also reminds me of Muhammad who first thought his visitations were of the devil and then his first wife told him they were from God. Don't you think the first impression was the right one in both cases? Would appreciate opinions from many differnent religious points of view.

I love the Lord. I even love the fellowship of the Black church. I miss church, and find myself crying in praise whenever I watch church on TV. Yet, every Sunday I can't get myself to church because I haven't been in years, I'm embarassed and afraid of being judged by fellow church goers. My mother is an atheist, so I found Jesus on my own. I got saved when I was 16 and I'm now 27 and although I read the Word every week on my own, I really need to get that fellowship going again.

It's becoming really important to me as well because my daughter is 4 years old and she's NEVER been to church-I want her to know the Lord like I do-so what do I do? How do I find the stregnth to get over my fears and just GO??? Please keep in mind I'm very new here in Atlanta(I'm originally from NYC) as well, so I have anxiety about trying church in a new place as well...Please HELP!

It is impossible to dis-prove the unprovable? God can not be proven, so to ask one to prove his non-existence, is like asking someone to prove Santa Claus' non existence, right? I mean, the belief is the same, there is no God, there is no Santa, but you cant prove a negative, right?

So the burden of proof lies with God believers to prove the existence, and if that was done it would THEN become the Atheists burden to disprove the proof, right?

....... yet make up about 10 percent of thr general population.

Christians represent 75 percent of the population and also represent 75 percent of the prison population.

This means that atheists are 50 times less likely to offend.

What does this say about the christian belief that their religion makes them better people and that atheists who don't share this belief must be morally bankrupt as a result.

I wonder how many christians who arte desperate to be right at all costs and hate the idea of cold hard facts casting their beliefs in a negative light will use the old "Well they were atheists when they committed the crime but they found god while in prison" excuse.

Is there anybody else who feels an absolute joy and sense wonder and fulfillment when learning about the true scientific reasons for the how the universe and everything that is in it came to be ?

Do you feel an immense sense of wonder and amazement when you contemplate the sky at night and marvel at all we have learnt about our orgins and existance and all that there is still to know ?

Finally do you think that this joy and wonder is far superior to simply accepting ancient dogmatic myths as a way of explaining the world around us

I asked this question last night and got some off the wall answers. I'm hoping to get some other responses.

Why would Jesus use salt and light to discribe the two greatest agents of change for the whole world?

Please no paroting of what you have been taught about salt as a preservitive or to make some thirst, or light as to show the way, that is not the point of this question. It is rather to get you to think. Notice both of these are silient why didn't Jesus use something audible to make a great impact on the world around us?

Atheism is the very denying of something you cannot prove to be true, or false right?

How can you believe there is no God when you can not prove that? Just because you cant see him, doesnt mean he is not there! Open your eyes, and LOOK, there is no proof that he does not exist, youd be better off as an agnostic, at least they dont claim to know it all, as you do, right?

How can you know something you cant prove??? God is provable.

Did you ever stop to think about WHO will be in Hell with you?
It torturing millions of lost souls forever! Think about that! You won't hear anyone say, "I love you", because in Hell, there isn't any love.
You say, "God wouldn't allow such a thing to happen." Sure He will! God allows people to suffer all the time. God allowed Hitler to murder 6,000,000 Jews, did He not? God allowed Herod to kill the children under two years old, did He not (Matthew 2)? If God will allow innocent babies to be murdered, then why wouldn't He allow a Christ rejecting sinner to burn in Hell? Did God not allow Jesus Christ, an innocent and sinless man, to be beaten and murdered? If God will allow His only begotten Son to suffer and be murdered, then why should God save a sinner from Hell when he chooses not to trust Christ as Savior? Listen, friend, GOD WILL ALLOW YOU TO GO TO HELL AND BURN IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN. It happens all the time.

You'll always remember your earthly life. You'll remember

How would your faith in the Supreme, Almighty One be affected if you found that Jesus Christ was Black? The movie "Color of the cross" alleges that the crucifixion and rejection of Jesus Christ by the Jews were the result of Jesus Christ being Black. One source even reports that in one theatre several White Christians actually walked out of the movie. What if Jesus Christ were Black?

Science continues to change, but God does not. He doesnt come back every few years to change things. Evolution continues to re-vamp itself, science must make new discoveries fit old theroies, or make up new ones.

So, since you cant KNOW everything Science has yet to discover, but Gods word never changes, how can Atheists know they have it right, when everything they put faith in can waver, and God never does???
