Atheism is the very denying of something you cannot prove to be true, or false right?

How can you believe there is no God when you can not prove that? Just because you cant see him, doesnt mean he is not there! Open your eyes, and LOOK, there is no proof that he does not exist, youd be better off as an agnostic, at least they dont claim to know it all, as you do, right?

How can you know something you cant prove??? God is provable.

And what makes everyone think I am talking about Christianity? I am talking about God, not any religion, just GOD!

You are seriously confused about this.

Here's how you can understand it better: Can you prove that there are no lime-green flying elephants? Nope, you can't.

Now lets apply your reasoning to that fact. How can you believe that there are no lime-green flying elephants when you cannot prove that? Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there. Open your eyes, and LOOK, there is no proof that lime-green flying elephants do not exist, and you can't claim to know it all, as you do, right?

See? It's just silly. You're wrong, and the only reason your argument made any sense to you is because you aren't willing to think about the existence of God.

>> Atheism is the very denying of something you cannot prove to be true, or false right?

Wrong. Pick up a dictionary. Atheists simply need to *lack* a *belief* in god. They don't say: "There is no god" - that would be non-sensical. Personally, I say: "There *probably* is no god" which is as close to that extreme as I can make it.

>> Just because you cant see him, doesnt mean he is not there!

So what else is there that I can't see? Pink unicorns? Flying Spaghetti Monsters?

>> Open your eyes, and LOOK, there is no proof that he does not exist, youd be better off as an agnostic, at least they dont claim to know it all, as you do, right?

See above for a definition of "atheism". Your ignorance of the definition is astounding.

>> God is provable.

Really? Wow - I'm so ecstatic. Finally, the proof I've been waiting for! Okay, message me and tell me how god is provable. We can write a book and publish it to all those people who can't prove it currently. And we'll send out copies to all those philosophers that have tried over the years too. We'll make millions! Gosh! God is provable! This means you won't need faith anymore, right?

>> And what makes everyone think I am talking about Christianity? I am talking about God, not any religion, just GOD!

Alright. So we can talk about the theist's god. Go nuts. I'm not specific. Proof's a proof, right?

The answer to your question is another question. What difference does it make to you what someone else believes? You're upset with atheists because they believe something other than you do and vice versa. It just creates an endless cycle of hate and violence. If your faith is strong enough, someone else's lack of faith should not deter you or hinder your beliefs. Now for the real answer to your questions. Dependant upon what definition of atheism you subscribe to, atheists either have a belief that a god does not exist or they just lack the belief that a god exists. It's almost impossible to prove a negative so their beliefs are solely based upon observations which tend to point to the lack of a deity. No one has empirical evidence of the existence of a god so those who do believe in a god do so entirely based upon faith. Until people learn some tolerance of others, this debate will never end. As I see it, let them believe what they want and you can believe what you want. The world is big enough for us all. Oh, btw, I've been up all night so I'm a little tired. :P

I believe in God and I see IT as an energy. An energy that harmonically moves this universe. I do believe that we all have a God inside of us. The thing is that some of us are more familiar and more in touch with it than others. You need to connect to it. Meditation is one magnificent way. When you believe that there is a Supreme energy out there that when it's used in a positive way (help others without personal interested) can make miracles. And believe me you would be amazed by the things it can do. All human beings have an aura that's the energy that each of us have. As you said, just because you can't show it and prove it directly doesn't mean is not there. I can show you results but not how it works cause all it's a mental attitude. Your thoughts are magical for good and bad. That's why people say 'be careful for what you wish'.

God is provable? Well in that case why didn't you include your proof in your question, then you could have brought all of us nonbelievers into the light. You could have settled it once and for all. The fact that there isn't one shred of actual proof causes me to not believe in god. The closest thing that christians have as a shred of proof is the bible. That really doesn't even qualify as proof because it wasn't written by god, but by man! When you were growing up you saw pictures of santa everywhere, your parents told you there was a santa, you even got presents under the tree. When you got older and someone told you there was no santa and you could find no proof of him other than man saying he was real you stopped believing. Why is it different with god? I just feel bad for you that you were brainwashed by your parents or someone at a young age and have to go through life with your eyes closed.

"How can you believe there is no God when you can not prove that?"

You're right, I can't disprove God. You can't disprove fairies, unicorns, giants and leprechauns either. So why don't you believe in those, or allow room for the possibility of those?

"there is no proof that he does not exist"

There's no proof that ANYTHING doesn't exist. That doesn't even make any sense. If you want to use that kind of logic, you couldn't definitively say that anything doesn't exist. Again, there's no proof for billions of things -- why don't you believe in any of those?

"God is provable."

God is provable in the same way that Allah, Brahma, or Zeus is provable -- in vague ways like "just look around you" or "just look at the complexity of life". Someone defending the Flying Spaghetti Monster could make those exact same kinds of arguments. Where's the undeniable scientific proof that isn't so vague?

There really is no physical way to prove that god exists that's why it's called faith and belief- and everyone should have their right as a human being to choose what they feel is the truth no matter what religion or belief it is - and for anyone to say anyone is wrong or stupid as some of you have is very disrespectful- I personally don't really believe in any specific religion but that doesn't make me stupid or ignorant

The thing is that proof is something we rely on. Anyone can make up anything...like the Flying Spaghetti monster for example. Can you prove that he does not exist? Of course not. Seeing is believing.

OK..I know..nor you or I can see what's on the bottom of the ocean, but we know alot of what is there thanks to PROOF. You can't possible say something exists without real proof.

i think atheism is defying not denying. they know the story of god. they just choose not to believe it. i in no way think i know everything and dont claim that i do. but your question could be turned around. how can you prove something you cant know. may would say this who dont believe because they have not actually met god so they claim not to know him. think about it.

Why does it bother you so much?

I love the ending of your question. 'God is provable'......and then you stop. HOW? HOW? HOW? Prove it then. And please don't point to a tree and say that's proof because then i'll just laugh. Proving something doesn't exist is impossible. Therefore the burden of proof is with you, babe.
