Please can somebody tell me what the prayer Amener Resulu means in English. My husband knows the arabic version but doesn't know how to translate it into English and this is very special to me as it was said at our baby's funeral. If anybody could help me it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

285 . The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."
286 Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

Kirche, Kinder, Kucher (a woman's place)... if there is a god they might not be very nice. The Great Vivisector in the sky? And let's not forget Margaret Thatcher's directorship within Marlboro and expensive after dinner talks in the US.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
(Bismillah Hir rahman nir raheem!)

The Apostle, and the believers with him,
believe in what has been bestowed upon him from on high
by his Sustainer: they all believe in God, and His angels,
and His revelations, and His apostles,
making no distinction between any of His apostles; and they say:
"We have heard, and we pay heed. Grant us Thy forgiveness, O our Sustainer,
for with Thee is all journeys' end!
"God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear:
in his favor shall be whatever good he does,
and against him whatever evil he does.
"O our Sustainer! Take us not to task if we forget or unwittingly do wrong!
"O our Sustainer! Lay not upon us a burden such as Thou didst lay upon those
who lived before us!
O our Sustainer! Make us not bear burdens which we have no strength to bear!
"And efface Thou our sins, and grant us forgiveness, and bestow Thy mercy upon us!
Thou art our Lord Supreme: succor us, then, against people why deny the truth!"

Allah, the Most High, speaks the truth.

If one recites only a portion of a surah, it is necessary to say at the end of the selection:
Saddaqallah hul Azim (Allah, the Most High, Speaks the truth.)

Hope this helps sisters. May Allah grant your child Jannathul-fidauz. May Allah forgive us all of our sins and make us worthy of Jannah too!
