How would your faith in the Supreme, Almighty One be affected if you found that Jesus Christ was Black? The movie "Color of the cross" alleges that the crucifixion and rejection of Jesus Christ by the Jews were the result of Jesus Christ being Black. One source even reports that in one theatre several White Christians actually walked out of the movie. What if Jesus Christ were Black?

"What if" means what if. And being a Jew does not necessarily mean being fair-skinned. So, the question remains, what if Jesus Christ were Black?

You know, some stuffs in the Bible that almost appeared fragmented begin to make sense based on this allegation - like why God commanded Mary and Joseph to flee to Egypt with baby Jesus. Hmmm....

As for me, however, I walk and live by faith. Therefore, I can still confidently, sincerely and with purity of heart say:

"And I know whom I have believeth, and I'm persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I've committed unto HIM against that day."

The bible tells us that Simon of Cyrene who hold the cross for Jesus Christ was a black man.One can ask if Jesus Christ was a white man , If He was white, what was he doing in a black man country were Simon Lives?Because the slave trade came long after Jesus Christ was crusified. According to the bible and the history there is conflicts of race, but one can conclude that Jesus Christ was an African as African History was erased or misinterpreted for this reason. If Jesus Christ was white, a black history would have been saved as there was nothing to hide. To prove that Jesus Christ was black all his miracles or teachings and trips happen around africa and neighbouring countries.

Uhmm Jesus Christ wasn't White, if that's what you're asking. The Bible took place in a region where people naturally have darker complexions. Not to mention, Revelations specifically speaks of his skintone and stature, you know the whole "hair like wool and feet the color of brass" argument. It wouldn't matter to me if Jesus Christ was blue, He was a Superstar!!!!

@ the people saying Jesus was a jew, therefore that made him White-Uhmm, the 1st Jews were Black, sweethearts. Even the term 'Black jew' is redundant.

What makes you think that Jesus was white, blond and with green or blues eyes? Just because that's how Hollywood represented him on the movies?, or that's what the church tell people? or that's because the history say? just because that's what you want to believe? If your faith is based on physical appearance then you don't know the meaning of faith. So what? If he was black, white, Asian, Hispanic, European my faith is still the same. All I know is that I want to believe he exist and that he was an amazing human being. Faith is all about options. What do you believe on.

Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard. ~ Leviticus 19:27

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. ~ Matthew 5:17 (Jesus Christ)

If Christ came to fulfill the law then he would have adhered to the law in Leviticus and thus would not have cut the hair at the sides of his head or clip off the edges of the beard.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. ~ Isaiah 53:2

The scripture above is prophesying about Christ. So what ever Christ looked like as a man he was not beautiful or desirable in appearance.

God purposely didn't reveal Jesus' full appearance in scripture so that it would not cause conflict between races and peoples appearances. God is love not vanity. God shows no favoritism.

I don't think he's black, but even if he was, my faith in him would not be affected. He was whatever color the people who lived in that region were at that time, not white, maybe darker like middle eastern people. What does skin color have to do with anything. He's a human being.

Jesus's message wasn't about race or gender, so his message remains the same. I could care less what skin color he had, it was the revelation of his heart and his teachings that matter.

Though I'm not a Christian, if I was, it wouldn't affect me if Jesus was white, black, Hispanic, Asian, polka-dotted or striped. It's just skin color.

I don't think it would make any difference whatsoever to the vast majority of Christians and Muslims. His skin color isn't what they value.
