Christians who don't like my celebrating it because I'm agnostic (just call it atheist if you don't know what it is), or non-Christians because I'm forcing a religious holiday down their throats? I'm only saying Merry Christmas because it's a commercial holiday and *there is nothing wrong with that!* Merry Christmas, may you enjoy the lights, and avoid the nativity scenes as much as possible!

If some one has a gun to your head and tells you to kill another person. Is morally right according to the catholic church for you to kill that person to save your own life. If any one can tell me where I can find information one this topic it would be a great help,
According to the catechism of the catholic church when your own life is in jeopardy you will not be held responcable for all of your actions.
This is for a Morality Class Essay and is not an opiniated essay. all information must be factual and backed up with sources in the essay. any help with this would be great! Thanks!

ps. I am looking for more factual answers rather than opinions.

And if so, will flying squirrels still need their flaps, or will we have flaps like flying squirrels?

Does the fact that it says this in the Bible bother those Protestant fundamentalists who try to downplay Mary's importance?

Why does it bother some people that God would favor Mary so much as to exalt her with honor and make her a queen? Jesus is the King of kings and the LORD of lords, so why wouldn't His mother be a queen?

41: And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit
42: and she exclaimed with a loud cry, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
43: And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44: For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy.
-Luke chapter 1

From all the biology and geology courses I've taken, from the research I've seen, and from the conversations I've had, it seems like the only place evolution is still being debated is on Y!A R&S section....Is this the view of the entire Christian community? Do other religions still doubt evolution? Or is this just a small number of Christians here?

((I apologize if this seems mean-spirited, I am honestly wondering the answers to these questions, not trying to make a point))

The one thing I admire about Christian’s is their absolute conviction despite any reasoning or evidence to the contrary. As sarcastic as that statement sounds it is true.

What may I ask you Christians is one or a few things you admire about Atheists?

Nobody believes me when I tell them I'm now a Christian, well none of my old friends do. I used to do drugs, smoke, get drunk all the time, and sleep around. It was no secret that I was bisexual, because one time someone snuck a camera into the room. The video got sent to all my friends, and then to their friends, and so on. I still have strangers who recognize me from it.
It has been a year since I have had a cigarette, gotten drunk, or smoked a joint. I have scars from past suicide attempts. And now I'm a single Mum with a 7 month old baby.

How can I tell people about Jesus after what I did was so widely advertised?
How can I say I'm a Christian without feeling like a fraud?
I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, and I want to raise my son to be a man of God. How can I do that, when the example I set was as bad as it was?

I am only interested in constructive answers that can help me out.

6 Then the LORD said, "Put your hand inside your cloak." So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous [a]—it had become as white as snow.

7 "Now put it back into your cloak," he said. So Moses put his hand back into his cloak, and when he took it out, it was restored, like the rest of his flesh.

If God turned Moses hand white as sign of his power what color was Moses hand to begin with?

Has God been working in your life, getting you ready for his return?

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Phil. 1:6

Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying, But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flash, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Keep studying your Bible, Pray, James.5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Is your life in Christ growing stronger, is your faith getting stronger?

God is good all the time and all the time, God is good!

How many times I have cried out to the Lord in time of great sorrow and He answered me and cared for my every need.

Tell us about a special prayer that God has answered for you?

For example, if we one day discovered that our planet, all life on earth, even our entire solar system, was constructed by an immensely advanced alien civilization...

Could you take back all the "just look around at god's work" comments, and admit you were mistaken?

Or if archeologists found a cache of ancient documents that detailed how the bible was painstakingly contrived over decades by a group of very intelligent men as a means of manipulating the population...

Could you admit it wasn't actually "the word of god"?

How about if scientists discovered a way to bring people back from beyond death, and found actual proof that the Buddhists are correct, and people are actually reincarnated when they die...

Could you admit THEIR religion is true, and yours is not?

I am honest enough to admit that if real evidence for god was found, I could renounce atheism.

(PS - please don't say "who made the aliens?" I'm asking if there is ANYTHING that could ever make you change your mind?)
