If some one has a gun to your head and tells you to kill another person. Is morally right according to the catholic church for you to kill that person to save your own life. If any one can tell me where I can find information one this topic it would be a great help,
According to the catechism of the catholic church when your own life is in jeopardy you will not be held responcable for all of your actions.
This is for a Morality Class Essay and is not an opiniated essay. all information must be factual and backed up with sources in the essay. any help with this would be great! Thanks!

ps. I am looking for more factual answers rather than opinions.

Sorry I don't have facts but I would opine (with your permission)
To Love is to be on God's side, to do any thing else like hurting or killing will never be accepted by God.
(Jesus never resisted crusification...)
Religion is faith, and faith does not change with situation.
Conviction and Convinience are two different things.

I hope I have answered.

The question is too difficult to answer.
It depends in a number of things.
Who is it that you are expected to shoot ?
Are they related to you ?
etc
Pray ! What would you do in the circumstance ?

"According to the catechism of the catholic church when your own life is in jeopardy you will not be held responsible for all of your actions."

Surely, you have answered your own question ?
