yes, although I do not admire all atheist, there are several that i do admire. the others I thing are just posers, but the true atheist as i see them have a since of conscience, they are compassionate, caring, and believe in their personal beliefs.
they are not insulting, and put their beliefs forth and respect ours.
I believe these are an asset to society.

Great question! I can't believe you actually found a question that helps promote respect instead of hate on this board, very impressive.
I admire Christians for the same thing you said "absolute conviction" I actually get a little sad when someone loses their faith just because it is like a true love to them.
anyway great job!

I'm Atheist so I can't wait for the answers.
I'd like to say I admire some Christians (not all of them) for the facilities they start and how they help people. Like homeless shelters, hospitals, etc. Non-religious people do it too, but it's all good.
And, I can't be positive since the picture is small, but I'm pretty sure you're hot.

Their constant trying to tear Christians down. They don't mind being brassy and annoying. I think if us Christians had half their guts and animosity we could probably turn the world upside down for Christ. They don't listen to anyone but their own ideas and accuse other people of doing just what they do. They should know. Now you ask. If there is anything worth while in that kind of boldness they have it. I believe it was Paul who prayed for boldness. Sometimes the JW's get accused of being nervy. They are meek and mild compared to atheists. I have never had a J Witness accuse me of anything that the atheists have. Well I can take it. I think we should strt taking lessons from the atheists.

For me, the one thing I admire about Atheists’ is their absolute non-conviction despite any feeling, faith and compassion
;o)
Kidding, I think they have a better criticising spirit .. i mean they do not accept everything for granted ! whichi is good for investigation, journalism, sciences .. etc.
for my part, I am a catholic but try to have the same spirit not to accept anything as true ... but I try to use my relationship with God to understand things and make connections in my mind that a pure rational mind could not do.

We admire that they have the opportunity to BELIEVE. They still have that decision to either continue living the life they're leading now or transform into a living miracle of God's work by choosing His will.

I admire the faith of my atheist friends. It exceeds mine. I believe in a sovereign Creator who has the power to create something out of nothing. They believe that nothing created itself. That's necessarily superior faith to mine.

Can't be grouped.
There are many things that I admire and respect individually.
But, no, not as a group.
Unless they're Yaks(pbut).

Switch 'Christians' with 'Atheists' in your above statement, and you have my answer. Though, it's hard (as i'm sure you know) to compliment people as a whole group...I hate generalizing in both negative and positive ways.

I am not Christian... But I respect Atheists for thinking for themselves! At least you think about the why's and the how's instead of accepting what you are told and then after several years saying wow.... That doesn't make any since! So yes at least Atheists are THINKING!!!!
