I asked this in the movie section and wanted to get an opinion from the religion section. Seemed to me that the older penguins were always depicted as religious and biased and inflexible. The younger penguins had to do their own thing true to their nature and couldn't change. I couldn't find one positive depiction of religion but many negative ones. Strong animal rights theme. Subliminal anti religious theme? Your thoughts?

as a Muslim i agree with you totally!! we indeed worship different Gods. you worship Jesus as god while we Muslims worship God who created Jesus along with every thing else.

I don't see merchants or goverments changing the name of other holidays because of their association with any group besides Christians. So why do the "X" out Christ? Or avoid reference to the day completely? I don't see them saying Happy Holidays on Veterens or Memorial Day, though most people are offended by war. (No offense meant to veterens and many thanks for your sacrifices for your fellow countrymen) This never bothered me before, but now I'm thinking why do Christmas shopping at any store that refuses to acknowledge the day. How do you feel?

Jesus told us to celebrate his death ( last supper) not his birth. Paul the apostle NEVER mentioned about celebrating Jesus birth. The three wise men gave presents to Jesus only, nobody else. Jesus wasn't born on dec 25, actually that day was praticed several pagan rituals ( includding orgies) around the world. Pine trees adorned with gold and silver, are mentioned in Jeremiah chapter 10. See it for yourself, and be prepared is not good!
Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus and, my opinion true Christians should not celebrate it.

At One time in my life, I started to catch the Bus(I didnt have a car). Now It was Winter season, and we were expecting rain. So I prayed to God, and told him"please,please Lord , dont let it rain(and really believed) until I get my car". Fortunately, I was able to buy a brand new car within a month. The very next day it rained..What do U think?

honestly, when a Boss give a command to one of his employee, the employee does what he wants like it was written on his Bible, but when God command people to do something, they either take it lightly, ignore it, or don't take it at all.

Most Biblical scholars concur that Jesus was born in the spring...likely March or April. Soooo, what is the point of a celebrating of His birth date at the wrong time, by buying everything under the sun?

Why is not Christ mentioned at stores having "Christmas" sales if He is the reason for the festival? All they care about is your money.

They could be faking it.

Like what, the Dead Sea Scrolls? They don't mean anything absolute; if they were definite proof of "God," why would there still be other religions? They don't prove anything.

How did Nostradamus predict things that have happened? And anyway, if you write that something bad's going to happen in the next thousand years or so, of course it's going to happen.

Maybe you could help me with a problem I am having...

I tend to worry about my work too much. I am an accountant working for the State of Florida.. I think I need spiritual guidance more than anything else

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Phillipians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Any suggestions on what I should do would be VERY much appreciated.

I was involved in a discussion wherein some though Satan does not believe he is done for. That he probably still believes he will win the Battle of Armegeddon. I've always assumed he knows he will lose because God has stated it, but he believes in himself over God.....so.....what are your thoughts?

He was just a man who looked at something in nature, had an idea, and tried to link hat he saw with that idea. He didn't force others to believe in his idea, and he didn't attack the faiths of others. If you want to say evolution is evil, then save your anger for people like Richard Dawkins who actively work against religion. Leave Darwin alone.

I have been to many hindu worship places, they sprinkle cow's urine on food before they served to others. Also I saw on TV that hindus were drinking rats left over milk, and also hindu's think that monkey and cow and snake and other animals are their gods and goddess. Is is true that hindu make their own god with clay and then do their pray to them, how can the listen or answer. What kind of religion is this in 21st century.
