THIS IS HOW:
Each person has their own purpose in life, mine is my family and friends and the people I love, reaching out to others who are lost and in need (no I do not mean converting people, lol), and of late, answering ridiculous questions people ask of Christians and Muslims.
GOD BLESS YOU

We were created by God to have a personal relationship with God.
Therefore we should serve God in all that we do.
Easier said than done, but nonetheless it is God's plan.
One of the most often repeated verses in the OT is:
And I will be their God and they will be My people.
I would suspect that muslims would have to admit that their purpose is the same.
They do believe in a monotheistic God, the Bible, and Jesus.
They just believe that Muhammad was a more recent prophet and gave them a more current message from God.
Most muslims are against the rantings of Osama Bin Laudin, and desire to live in peace.

I am a Christian. The purpose of life is to live it right and to worship God and Jesus. We also tell people about Jesus so they can go to heaven and we also try to be a good example to people.
Merry Christmas!!!

Personally, as a follower of Jesus the Christ, I feel I have been sent to earth to help others have a better life and to help them come to the Lord, so they will be saved. If we all did the best we could for each other, what a wonderful world this would be. Jesus loves you. Merry Christmas.

Umm they don't know beyond superficial things. The meaning of life is self discovery and development until one is made perfect/complete and know "God" as God is, become one with God. Even though I'm not Christian or muslim, or any religion - I think even an atheist will hold to the thought that man lives to know, even from our first observations we are seeing to know "life" in it's greatest of sense, and this knowing holds to the continuation of consciousness. To know ourselves and know our relationship with "life" - the all.
That Christians and muslims don't know the point of their movements is due to the reason that many teachings have been suppressed and taken advantage of. Christianity, judaism, and islam as far as their scripturs are concerned speaks of the same reality. Jesus said to enter the inner kingdom and manifest it in the flesh (know thy self and know God - specificaly in the thomas gospel which is a purer source of Jesus sayings by many scholar accounts, ""If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty." - all about knowing ), islam to enter the distant mosque of the mecca within ones self, Judaism to enter the promise land within. Gezz even Paul said to "prove all things".

To be a great person and take other people with you to heaven. GOD told us to take care of the earth for ourselves, the people we love and the environment.
Thats why there are some rules in our relegion, its for everyone to benefit from.
What miracles he gives us...

Your ideas regarding my motivations are incorrect. It is not about my salvation. My purpose is to clear up the lies that have been spoken about God, about who he is, what he is like. It is to say that only his way is the right way. My own personal salvation comes way behind that, although they are linked. When God finally sanctifies his name, and vindicates his sovreignty, my salvation is linked to that. But he comes first. Not any promise of a reward.
The Bible really teaches that everlating life is a free gift. Not an earned reward.
